VIDEO

I am sharing this technique in a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I’ll be using the Splendid Snowflakes Embossing Folder for this technique today.

I’ve done this technique before on a card shared HERE but today I decided to add a little twist to it.

I quickly added color to a piece of White cardstock using my blending brushes. Then ran this through my Intri-cut machine with the Splendid Snowflakes Embossing Folder. The setting I used is putting the top dial to 3D Embossing Folder and the bottom dial to -4. Then I only used the Platform and the embossing folder.

I have the debossed side face up and ran dark shades of blues and purples over the background. Typically you see this done with Black but I wanted something a little more wintery.

I also added flicks of White with my White Acrylic Spray and lightly spritzed it with Faded Jeans Distress Spritz.

I have the Heartfelt Snowflake die cut from a glitter cardstock as a focal point and added a small sentiment from the Winter Collection.

So unique and so fun to do! I hope you give it a try!

Mindy, I think it’s perfectly fine. We are sometimes way too critical of our own work and second-guess ourselves a lot. I often forget that the recipients aren’t cardmakers and probably wouldn’t pick out the “flaws” anyway! I love how the dark blue looks instead of the normal black background, especially for a Christmas card. I’ll pop over to YT so I can give the video a thumbs up for you.
