Hello and Welcome to Mindy Eggen Design! I wanted to take some time to tell you a little bit about myself.

Just some small talk to get out of the way … I am married to a wonderful man and we have two beautiful children together! My daughter, born in 2006, loves crafting with mommy! She’s been stamping with me since she was 2 years old. She’s very much like me where she likes anything crafty. You can find her painting, rainbow looming, designing, coloring, stamping, singing or … building in Minecraft lol ..She is such a joy to be around and so creative!

My son, born in 2010, is a delight and a handful. We found out when he was 2 years old that he is autistic. I will not lie, some days are a struggle but he has taught us so many things. We have learned to appreciate the small things in life. We do not take things for granted. We celebrate the smallest of accomplishments and he has made us all better people because of it. Even though he has some struggles, he is such a happy child. His laughter and smile make it impossible to be in a grumpy mood.

CRAFTING. I started out with …. stickers … lol. Yes that is how I started my crafty world. From the world of stickers in scrapbooks, I ventured into stamping. I in turn became a Close To My Heart consultant for about 6 years where I held monthly classes and workshops at my home. I believe (if memory serves) I had 6 workshops a month with at least 6-8 people at each one. I did this while being at home with my daughter when she was first born. After a while, I went back into the workforce for a few years and gave up Close To My Heart. When my son was born, I did some web-surfing and discovered paper piecing. I fell in love with it. It was so rewarding to me to put things together. After numerous requests from others to purchase my items, I started selling my premade paper piecings on ebay and eventually opened up my own website. But it was slow going … I was lucky to be paying for my supplies.

Once we found out about my son, I needed to quit the workforce to be home with him so he could receive in-home therapy. That is when I really took a focus on what I needed to do to become successful. If you have any idea about autism there is one thing for certain – they have their OWN schedule. So for me to work my business, I worked A LOT of late nights (and mornings). In the end, all of that hard work and determination paid off.
Selling premade paper piecings for scrapbooks, and cards  has been my job for the past 3 years. It has been such a blessing to be able to do something I love and provide for my family. I love hearing from my customers about the happiness it brings them and their children or grandchildren.

Late 2016, I started dabbling back into the world of cardmaking, coloring with copics and just general stamping. I realized …… I missed it.  The creation of something unique is a rewarding feeling.

On top of running my own business, participating on design teams and guest designing, I decided my scrapbooks needed some serious attention. So…. you will see that from me as well from time to time.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my family!
