Paint me a Rainbow with Neat & Tangled!

Welcome everyone! I’m up on the Neat & Tangled blog with a very colorful card! Can you believe this is a one layer card?!

I started by stamping this little girl from the Complementary Color stamp set is copic friendly ink onto Neenah Solar White card stock. I knew I was going to a rainbow shooting out of the tube so I colored the label in rainbow colors.

For the colorful burst I used the Landscape stencil. I actually cut it a part a little so I could frame off this area and have it swooping out. I then masked off the rest of the card with post it tape to protect it from colors.

I ink blended Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Ink with a blending brush. With the masks and stencil still in place, I applied Moonstone Glimmer paste over the blended area.

Check out that sparkly rainbow!

When everything was dry, I stamped the sentiment to the bottom of the card. I used the Thank You sentiment from the Sweet Treats stamp set and stamped in Altenew Obsidian Ink.

Copic Colors used: Skin – E04, E11, E21, E00; Hair – E39, E37, E34; Dress – V17, V15, V12; Paint Tube – C6, C4, C3, C1; Paint Tube Label – R17, YR04, Y15, YG25, BG05, V15, C3, C1

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month – June

Welcome everyone! I have an amazing die collection to share with you today. It’s featuring the Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders called Festive Wreaths Slider Card.

These are tons of elements in this set to create a wreath for every season! The fun slider mechanism allows for you to pop up your card front for display and/or add an additional message in the inside. You get such a bang for your buck by subscribing to the Large Die of the Month Kit. You can read more about it HERE over at Spellbinders.

I have a video walking you through the steps on how to create a card using the Large Die of the Month kit. You can view it down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

While there are so many different seasons and holidays you can create with this set including birthday, Christmas, Easter and Fall, I was in a very summery mood and decided for butterflies.

I am using the Petals and Wings stamp/stencil set from Gina K Designs to decorate a part of my wreath.

The front of my card is stenciled with the Thick Brush Stencil onto Jelly Bean Green card stock using Jelly Bean Green ink from Gina K Designs. I die cut the front panel with the sliding window using my Spellbinders Platinum Machine.

There is a half circle die in the kit that I die cut twice from Gold Glitter card stock to form my circle using liquid glue. I attached this to a circle I die cut from white card stock using the Spellbinders Circle Nestibilities die. Since the white circle die cut was bigger then the gold glitter circle, i trimmed my white card stock down to the Gold Glitter card stock so there was no white edge.

I die cut some leaves which is from the kit, using Fresh Asparagus and Jelly Bean Green card stock and arranged on my circle. The sentiment is from the Petals & Wings stamp set and stamped in Obsidian Ink.

My butterfly is stamped in Turquoise Sea ink and then I added some sparkle with the Turquoise Sea Glitz Glitter Gel and Petals & Wings stencil.

After scoring my front panel, and adding to a Fresh Asparagus card base, I can attach the bottom portion of my sentiment circle to the card panel. Be sure to check out the video for the exact how-to. It is much easier to see in person.

I added my butterfly last as I was waiting for it to dry completely. For a little dimension to the front, I added the butterfly with foam squares.

My next card, is very similar except this time I’m using the Quilted Hearts Background in Cherry Red ink for my front panel.

The Petals & Wings stamp set has this adorable ladybug that I stamped in Cherry Red ink and added Black Glitz Glitter Gel to the my critter.

These slider cards so are much fun and easy to create. You could also a sentiment to the bottom for when the window pops up, but I opted to keep this plain. I love that you can pop this up to display.

Thank you for joining me today.

Hot Air Balloon – Hero Arts

Welcome everyone! I’m still experimenting with liquid watercolors and this one was super easy! I’m also playing around with the Hero Arts Reactive Inks. I broke down and got all of them. They are so vibrant which is right in my wheel house.

In this card, I’m using the Hot Air Balloon stamp/die set. I stamped my images onto watercolor card stock with embossing ink. Then heat embossed black embossing powder.

Using my Waffle Flower Media Mat, I watercolored the flowers with Leaf and Purple Liquid Watercolors from Hero Arts.

When my images were dry, I used the coordinating die to cut them out.

My background was created by ink blending Thistle and Pool Party Reactive Inks using Blending Brushes. Then I sprinkled on water and dabbed with a paper towel.

I stamped this beautiful sentiment towards the bottom of the card panel using Obsidian Ink from Altenew. This would make a great graduation card!

I finished off the card by adding my smaller balloon and the clouds with a tape runner. The large balloon I added with foam tape for dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this card and found some inspiration!

On The Beach Center Picture Window – Lawn Fawn

Welcome everyone! I had a ton of fun creating this beach card using the Center Picture Window die from the Spring 2019 release from Lawn Fawn.

I have a video explaining all the details of this card that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

The center picture window creates this fun pop up window scene on the inside of your card. I decided to create a beach scene for mine. I used images from the On The Beach which I stamped in Jet Black ink on Lawn Fawn White card stock. Then colored with my copic markers and cut out with the coordinating die.

Copic colors used are: E37, YR27, YR68, YR21; E79, E77, E74; RV14, RV23; BG49, BG43; YG23, YG03; E57, E35, E33; W2, W0

My card base is created using Mermaid card stock and the Center Picture Window die. I thought the Mermaid card stock was a fun pool color for my scene.

The inside panels were created using the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and cut out with the Center Picture Window Add On. My beach is created by die cutting Kraft card stock using the hills from the Shadow Box die and lightly ink blending Walnut ink on the top. Then I added splatters of ink for texture.

I also included in my scene some palm trees from the Hammock & Trees die set. I used Cilantro, Paper Bag and Chocolate Bar card stock for my trees.

When all my coloring and die cutting was complete, I added my images to the panels and trimmed off the excess.

While creating this scene, I was thinking of a bunch of ideas for this window. Even though I just have waves in the background, you could add sail boats and/or fish. Just wait until the holidays come! Hope cute is this going to be ?!

For the front of the card, I used the Outside In Stitched Speech Bubble cut from Peacock card stock. I heat embossed the sentiment and added to the front. I actually had a different plan in mind when I created the speech bubble but it didn’t work out os I just added a palm tree and coconut drink.

School gets out this week and I cannot wait to give this to one of the teachers !

I hope you enjoyed today’s project ! I want to make a bunch of these fun scenes!

Be sure to check out the video HERE as it explains things so much better. You can pin any of these pictures to you Pinterest for future reference.

Here are the supplies I used for my card.

Dream Drops & Stencils

Welcome everyone! Today I’m sharing something a little new to me and that is using Nuvo Dream Drops with Stencils. I’ll be featuring products from Neat & Tangled for my card today.

Now this technique was actually something a fellow design team member did and I just had to give it a try.

I started by spraying the back of my Geometric Circles Stencil from Neat & Tangled with Pixie Spray. This is a temporary adhesive that you can put on your stencil and provides a light tack to hold the stencil in place on your card stock. In comes in super handy for intricate stencils like this one.

I attached the stencil in place on black card stock and then started adding on some Nuvo Dream Drops in Love Potion. Taking a Tonic Spatula, I started spreading it across my stencil, just like I would glimmer paste.

It’s amazing what this product looks like on black card stock! I have the bottle in my picture and you can see it’s a light pink but once it’s on black card stock, it turns like an iridescent purple. It’s stunning in person!

Once I spread it out evenly, I remove the stencil and allow some time dry. After it was dry, which I may have helped along with my heat tool, I trimmed down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and added to a white notecard with foam tape.

I die cut the Awesome word die once from Pixie Dust card stock and twice from white card stock. Then layered together with liquid glue. I added to the bottom half of my card with liquid glue as well.

The small sentiment that I heat embossed in white onto black card stock comes from the stamp set Mommy, Daddy and Me. I trimmed down to a thin strip and added to my card front with a tape runner.

Seriously, how stunning is this?! I’m blown away by the results ! I hope you’ll give this a try.
