Hex Yeah Wreath Builder – Simon Says Stamp

Hey friends! Today’s card is a little different then what you would normally see from me. You can only look at so many of Laura Bassen’s cards before you want to make a card with geometric shapes! Today’s card is focusing on the amazing set from Cathy Zielske. She has some amazing stamp sets and this one is no different! The set is also a part of the Sending Sunshine release from Simon Says Stamp.
I thought I would dig out my wreath builder stencil from Gina K Designs and create a wreath of hexagons.  You will most certainly need a Misti tool for this. There are two sizes for the wreath builder and I’m using the one that fits a 4″ x 4″ piece of cardstock. I’m going to using Neenah white carstock 80lb. for this project.
I’m also going to using some Gina K Designs mini ink cubes in a variety of colors. As you can see, I created a rainbow of hexagons. I’ll have a video down below where you can check out how I created the wreath. It is super easy!
I love using the Gina K Inks because once dry they have some beautiful vibrancy to them!
I stamped the sentiments onto black cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Clear ink. Then heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder. What’s really cool is Cathy’s sentiment also come with a coordinating die that you can purchase separately. I love how it cuts with just that smidge of a border.
The smaller sentiment I just trimmed down into a thin strip and added some foam adhesive behind it for a little dimension. My panel is also added to a black 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ black cardbase with some craft foam. I use the double sided tape to adhere the craft foam because it has such a nice strong hold.
I finished off the card using the gorgeous Pearl White Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh. These jewels are my latest addiction. The Gina K Connect Glue has a super fine tip and great hold so it worked perfectly to attach the jewels between my hexagons.
I hope you enjoyed this card!
