MFT October Release 2019

Welcome everyone! I’m excited to be joining My Favorite Things in celebrating their new release! So much cuteness and I can’t wait to share. Grab a coffee or tea and sit back because I have a ton on inspiration.

My first card is featuring the Classic Snow Globe and Class Snow Globe Shaker Pouches. Have you ever tried the MFT shaker pouches? They make creating shaker cards so easy!

I decorated the inside of my snowglobe with some trees using the Oh Christmas Trees Die-namics and glitter card stock for the snow.

The sentiment comes from the new Bitty Holiday Wishes. This set has a TON of sentiments on it!

Next up we have this super cool Santa on vacation. This is the Sun Lovin Santa stamp set. I did some masking and ink blending to create a beach scene.

These little Santas from the Tis The Season stamp set are super adorable. I copic colored them and used the coordinating die to cut them out. I added some trees to my background using an older die-namics set Oh Christmas Trees.

I also used the Joy Die-namics cut out of glitter card stock and the sentiment is heat embossed in white onto Black card stock.

Another totally cute set is the Christmas Selfies stamp set. I adore this polar bear and snowmen! I colored my images with copic makers. My sentiment is off of the same stamp set but I trimmed it down so I had a sentiment for the top and bottom of my card.

If you like more traditional, classic Christmas cards we have the Joyful Wreath Die-namics.

I added Cloud 9 Dream Drops to my berries to give them a little sparkle and shine.

This may be my favorite card. I die cut the Joy Love Peace Die-namics from white card stock and added to a card base made from Poppy Prestige card stock.

I added these cute little snowmen from the Tis the Season stamp set and a sentiment from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set.

Last but not least is a beautiful Dove from the Peace on Earth Die-namics. I added some white rays behind the dove using the Radiating Rays stencil and white pigment ink.

The new release is now available for purchase! I hope you enjoyed the inspiration and thank you so much for stopping by! Which was your favorite?

MFT Sketch Challenge 44

Welcome back everyone and if you are in the U.S.A. Happy Independence Day! It has been a pretty hot day here which meant lots of pool time in the backyard. I skipped 1 of the 4 trips outside to create a card for the MFT Sketch Challenge 44 that you can find more details on HERE.

Here is a look at the sketch.

You can see I followed it pretty closely. I created the background with the Basic Shapes Circle Stencil. I ink blended Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet Distress Inks.

That cute little fox comes from the stamp set Fox & Friends. I stamped the image onto Neenah Solar White card stock with copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers. Then used the coordinating die to cut it out and add to my card front.

I die cut the Big Thanks out of black card stock 3 times and layered with liquid glue. I lined up where the Thanks would go but not glue it down. I then lined up a sentiment underneath and stamped that in Black ink.

Then I attached the Big Thanks word to the center of my card with liquid glue.

To hide a couple smudge spots, I mean accent my card, I attached some Aurora Lights Confetti Mix.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!

MFT June Release

I’m thrilled to be helping showcase the latest release from My Favorite Things! I have a lot to share so grab a coffee or tea and enjoy!

I have a video creating the card shown below with these adorable ocean critters from the Friends with Fins stamp set. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Aren’t these critters the cutest!? EEeeek! I love them! I love them so much I created TWO cards with them.

Here is the second card featuring the Friends with Fins stamp set. I used every image on the set and put them all in the ocean. I also used the new Under the Sea Die-namics which cuts out the ocean floor, some rocks, coral and seaweed.

For the ocean, I ink blended Cracked Pistachio, Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks. The Friends with Fins coordinating die set also has this little wave die that I used to cut out some waves in my ink blended panel. This allowed me to tuck my whale into the water. How cool is that!?

The sentiment is also off of the Friends with Fins stamp set in which I heat embossed with white embossing powder onto Blue Denim card stock. I used the Slanted Sentiments Die-namics to cut it out and add to my card front.

Another stamp set being release is the super cute Fairy Good Friends. This set actually has three fairies on it but I decided to just use one as the focal point. I stamped with copic friendly ink, colored with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating die that you can purchase separately.

The background was created by ink blending Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I then used the In the Spotlight stencil and white pigment ink to add a light shining down on her.

Next up, we have the Fish You Were Here stamp set which actually coordinates perfectly with the Friends with Fins set. I decided to create a clean and simple card but making my own background with all the images on the set. Now… I messed up one of the fish. Can you spot which one? It’s kind of like Where’s Waldo.

To keep with the clean and simple look, I just used one color ink for each fish. I did no ink blending on them which was surprisingly difficult for me.

My Favorite Things has a few Die-manics sets with fun critters. They are adding to the collection with the Puppy Love set featuring this cute little puppy dog. You can customize the colors to whatever you like!

I added my puppy to a background I created by stenciling in the Staggered Pawprints stencil.

Next up is the Picnic Pals stamp set. How fun it would be to go on a picnic with these guys! I kept this one quite simple as well by stamping on white card stock, coloring with copic markers and cutting out with the coordinating die.

I added a soft hue of color by lightly ink blending Worn Lipstick to the center of the card. The sentiment is also from the Picnic Pals stamp set which I stamped in black ink. I then just adhered my images to the center of the card.

Last but not least is this big Thank You Die-namics. I adore the font on this and it’s nice and big. I went rainbow on this card. I die cut the Thank You from a rainbow variety of card stock.

I attached each of the pieces together, slightly offsetting each one, with liquid glue.

Whew! That was a ton to share all at once but I hope you stuck around til the end and enjoyed it.

Thank you MFT for inviting me to create with this amazing release!

MFT Super Dog!

Welcome everyone! I’m sharing a card today that I created for the MFT Sketch Challenge #425.

I started my card by creating the background strip. I masked off the area with post it tape and ink blended Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide. While leaving the mask in place, I applied Tonic Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. This creates an amazing glimmery background! I removed the mask and set it off on the side to dry.

Next, I stamped my Super Dog onto some white card stock with MFT Extreme Black Ink and colored with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

Copic colors used: Dog body: E59, E57, E35, E34; Dog Ears: E79, E77, E74; Mask\Cape: B26, B24, B23; Suit: R39, R37, R35, R32

Once my panel was dry, I attached it to a white A2 size card base. My City Block silhouette is die cut from Black Glitter card stock using my Gemini Jr machine. I then added it to the front panel with Simon Says Stamp Tacky Glue. I also die cut the sidewalk using the Fog card stock from Simon Says Stamp.

My sentiment is from the Super Dog stamp set. I stamped it in clear ink onto Black card stock and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Gilded Embossing Powder. Then trimmed die with the Slanted Sentiments Dienamics. I attached the sentiment and Super Dog with foam tape for dimension.

I really enjoyed creating this card and all it’s glimmer!

MFT Sketch Challenge 423 – You Bet Your Beak!

Welcome everyone! Today is a very special day as it’s my daughter’s 13th birthday! I can’t believe I officially have a teenager in the house! I wanted to make her something special for a birthday card and I combined it with the MFT Sketch Challenge #423.
Here is a look at the sketch.
I stamped these sweet birdies from the Tweethearts stamp set onto Neenah Solar White card stock in MFT Extreme Black Ink. Then colored with copic markers in rainbow colors and cut out using the coordinating die with my Gemini Jr.
Next, I die cut hearts out from Neenah White card stock 110 lb using the Heart Trio Shaker Window Dienamics. On a panel of Bristol Smooth card stock measuring 41/4″ x 5 1/2″, I ink blended Festive Berries, Spice Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Inks. Then I spread Nuvo Glitter Moonstone over the top of the ink blended panel.
I added foam tape all around the back of my panel that I die cut the hearts from and attached to the ink blended panel once it was dry. Then I attached the rainbow birds in front of each heart.
My sentiment is heat embossed in Brutus Monroe Gilded Gold Embossing powder onto Black card stock. Then added to the middle of the card front.
I wrote a special little message inside to my daughter.
