Sunshine Card

Hello friends! Today I’m popping in to share a fun sunshine background I created using the Sunshine Background stamp from Simon Says Stamp.

This background is pretty cool because it’s a peel-a-part stamp so you can stamp the rays all in one color or peel it a part and stamp them in different colors as I did here.

If you are using a Misti tool, you will need to remove the foam insert since this is a red rubber stamp and already has that cushion.

Now I would say this is kind of a modified rainbow, just for something a little different. All the colors I’m using are from Simon Says Samp Pawsitively Saturated Ink collection but any ink pads will work.

The colors I’m using today are:

  • Taffy
  • Bubblegum
  • Cantaloupe
  • Cheeky
  • Lemonade
  • Sprout
  • Seafoam

I stamped this out onto Hammermill cardstock and then once I was finsihed with my stamping, I trimmed the panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and added to a white card front.

For a sentiment, I’m using the So Sorry set which is stamped in Intense Black ink and cut out with the coordinating die.

The smaller sentiment is from the Reverse Friendship which I trimmed down using my mini trimmer and popped up with foam squares.

For some subtle sparkle, I added Clear Quartz Sequins using my Connect glue.

Such a fun design for a background and I love that I can change up the colors of the rays.

Hope you enjoyed todays inspiration!
