Altenew March 2023 Stampwheel Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hey friends! I’m excited to be joining Altenew in a blog hop today featuring the NEW Stampwheel!

VIDEO

I have a video that you can watch down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

In my video, I’m going to show you how awesome this tool is for layering your stamp images and also how to use it with stencils. They are lots of other ways to use this tool, like mirror stamping, but I’m focusing on the two most common reasons I would use this tool for.

NOTE: This video is of my own opinion. I am not saying you should or should not purchase the product. I’m showing you how to USE it, what I would use it for and you can make your decision from there.

One of the unique features about the Stampwheel is there is no hinge. So you can remove the top plate and use either side of it for stamping.

I, personally, think this is a fabulous product for stamping images that have layers to them.

For my first card, I’m featuring the Airbrushed Flowers stamp set.

I can stamp out my first flower and then since everything is all nice and lined up, I can go through and stamp it again in a variety of colors. This I find super helpful in case I want to experiment with colors. I do not need to keep removing my stamps. All I need to do is rotate the plate.

The Stampwheel base measures 9″x 9″ while the sticky mat that you will be stamping on measures 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ .

The sticky mat is similar to the material used to create clear stamps: high quality photopolymer. Cardstock sticks to it nicely so it won’t move around and is easy to peel up.

Not only is this tool great for stamping but you can use it for stencils too. Just place your cardstock on the sticky mat and your stencil over the top. The sticky mat will grip both of them!

Word of caution: since the sticky mat is made from photopolymer, it will stain with some inks just like a stamp set would. I already have a bit of pink left over on mine.

For cleaning, be sure to read up on the packaging and/or Altenew website/Youtube channel. They say you can clean the mat with a stamp clear or warm soapy water in your sink.

Be sure to catch my video for more information, details and my thoughts. I think it is a great, high quality product and find it very useful for layering images. You will still see me use other products in my videos because I have lots of tools in my craft space and they all need love lol.

I will leave it up to you to decide how this tool could benefit you in your stamping.

Stunning cards!! Thank you for your honest review! I love hearing how this tool works in real life! I think I would hate having the photo polymer sticky mat Inked as well. I think what I would do is like the Brutus Monroe sticky mat, create a piece of mylar sheet that has a size (tbd) cut out in the middle and will protect the outer edges from my ink! Needs to be played with! 😝 love your creations!!!!

Both cards a very lovely! I really like the color scheme. I think since the stamp wheel base area is bigger than the regular Misti, using the stamp wheel without a raised edge to block it will work so much better.
