I love the images from Your Next Stamp! These critters are just the cutest! I’m playing along with their sketch challenge and decided to use the Snorkel Fish. All supplies will be listed down below.
I created my background using the Tim Holtz watercolor paper and my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I taped my paper down using some painters tape, wet by paper with clean water and a big brush and then used some blue from my watercolor palette and just went back and forth with my brush. After it was dry, I flicked some white and black paint on it for some speckles. Once all of it was dry I trimmed my piece down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and adhered to my white card base using double sided adhesive. I used this adhesive because the paper is so thick and even after drying with my heat tool it was trying to curl.
My snorkel fish I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Neenah White Cardstock and colored with my copic markers. Then cut out with the Scan n Cut machine to add to my center diamond. For the sentiment which is also off of the snorkel fish set, I stamped using Memento Tuxedo black ink and cut out with my Word Bubbles Die. The fish is adhered using foam squares for some dimension.
My finishing touch is adding some Nuvo Crystal Drops which look really cool on the colored cardstock.
