Must Try Embossing Tips!

Hi Friends! I’m back with another video and today I’m sharing some of my favorite embossing tips. Hope you find them helpful.

I often use my distress oxides for ink blending because they are easier to blend but today I’m using distress inks because they have more vibrancy.

VIDEO

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Since I walk through each step in the video, I will list the main supplies used down below. As always, all the products I use in the video are listed at the end of this post and also the video description on Youtube.

These bears are some of my favorites from Lawn Fawn. They are from the Den Sweet Den and Snow Much Fun stamp sets. They are stamped in Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers.

The copic colors I’m using are:

  • Bears: E59, E55, E53, E51, E41
  • Stars: Y38, Y35, Y32

The distress ink colors I’m using to create the sky are Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Seedless Preserves.

I’m also adding splatter for the stars using Copic White.

For my stitched rainbow, I’m using some Textured Cavas cardstock in a variety of colors. If you haven’t checked out the textured cavas from Lawn Fawn, I highly recommend it. They are some great color variations that you don’t find in their regular line of cardstock.

I couldn’t resist adding sparkles to my Puffy Clouds. I did this by using a 2-way glue pen and prisma glitter.

For a sentiment, I’m using the How You Bean Star Add On, Yeti Pigment Ink and White embossing powder. Be sure to check out my tip on heat embossing on an ink blended background.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Hi, Mindy –
This card is ADORABLE! So cute! I love the bears, the colors and the rainbow!
Not sure how these embossing tips were different from usual embossing videos, but you covered the embossing process as part of the video. I thought from the title that you would have some new piece of info that I did not know before. I guess I misunderstood something or maybe you changed your mind about the project and never changed the title? Anyway, it’s a terrific card! Love it!
