Spellbinders has some amazing new collections coming out this year and I’d like to introduce you to Yana’s Blooms. If you are not familiar with Yana, I will add her link HERE to her blog. She is a very talented cardmaker and creates the most elegant cards.
This new collection from Yana/Spellbinders has captured her style perfectly!
I foiled the image, colored with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut out the image. It is so hard to capture the beauty of foil in pictures.
For my background, I’m using what may be my new favorite hot foil plates and that is these splatters from Splatter Sentiments. It is 3 different plates to create the splatter so you can use all 3 of just a couple – your choice and you decide where they go!
The Splatter Sentiments also include a rectangle border that you can add to you card and some individual smaller sentiments.
I foiled the word HAPPY right to the front of my card once I knew where I was going to place everything.
I attached my die cut foiled image to the front with a tape runner and then used a die cut word from the Smooth Lines Mix & Match Sentiments. This is definitely one I’ll be reaching for a lot.
One thing I want to mention quick is my paper.
Normally, I foil using Hammermill 100 lb which is very smooth and great for hot foiling. BUT, while many use it for copic coloring, ink blending and pretty much everything else, I personally, find my colors dull on it.
So to make sure that my copic colors were as vibrant as I like, I foiled the image on Neenah 80 lb cardstock and added a paper shim to my sandwich to make sure it fully foiled.
That’s just my little tidbit I wanted to add.
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and be sure to check out Yana’s new collection. It is so beautiful! I will have more to share soon!
There is also a few more products released along with Yana’s collection (I’m already shopping myself!)
Plus, if you haven’t seen yet, the gorgeous Limited Edition Platinum 6 machine is back in stock!
Thanks for stopping by!
