Now how about some inspiration? I’m kicking it off with this little sweetheart from the So Proud of You stamp set. I stamped the image in copic friendly ink and colored with copics markers. My color combination is E04, E11, E21, E01 for the skin, YG67,YG17, YG03, YG21 for the green and V17, V15, and V12 for the purples.

For my background, I ink smooshed Shaded Lilac and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Inks onto Canson Watercolor card stock. I trimmed this panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and added to a white card panel with foam tape. I attached my panel to a card base made from Lovely Lavender which tied in nicely with my purples.

Alrighty, my next card may be my favorite and I owe it all to my husband and my early 20’s. Keep reading – I’ll tell ya about it in a sec.

I started my card by masking off the bottom portion of my Bristol Smooth card stock with post it tape. Then I ink blended Faded Jeans, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink with the amazing Life Changing Blender Brushes. I flicked with water and once dry, I removed the post it tape.

I lined up these fun silhouettes from the My Man My Friend set across the ink blended area using my Misti and stamped with Versafine Black ink. Picket Fence Studios is really good for having these fun, snarky sentiments. There are quite a few on this stamp set so be sure to visit the store and check it out. This brother sentiment cracked me up so I stamped it under my blending using Versafine ink.

Now, I showed my hubby my card (which I always do when I finish a card). His first response was, “who’s that? Backstreet Boys?”. OMG. I see it! I totally see it now! I didn’t even think of that when I stamped it but now that he said that, I am totally seeing the Boy Bands in this card and you know what? I love it! Yes, I loved my boy bands.

Did you like the “boy band era” ? Who was your favorite? Let me know in the comments – I’m totally curious. I was a huge Backstreet Boys and NSYNC fan. (secretly I still am. I pull it up on Pandora sometimes when I’m working)

My brothers are quite a bit older then me so they won’t get the whole “boy band era” but come on – totally cool right?!

Anywho, I hope you enjoyed today’s post and maybe have some boy bands songs stuck in your head now.

Neat & Tangled May Release Day 2 + GIVEAWAY

Welcome back! We are on Day 2 of Release Week with Neat & Tangled! Today’s feature is the G.O.A.T stamp set which coordinates perfectly with the Barnyard Buddies set we featured yesterday.

This is a smaller stamp but has some really fun sentiments ! I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar white card stock with copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers. Then used the coordinating die to cut out the images.

I die cut a circle from a piece of pattern paper from the Knit Picky Fall paper pack. My background includes the barn from Barnyard Buddies along with clouds from To The Stars. I also die cut a hill from Spiffy Speckles paper using the Stitched Slopes die. I layered my scene onto Moonstone card stock to represent the sky.

My scene is layered onto white card stock for a nice white border and then added to an A2 size card base made from Kraft card stock.

I love this encouraging but fun sentiment off the G.O.A.T set which I stamped and die cut from the Skinny Strips die and added to the front of my card.

Are you enjoying this month’s release?! Pretty awesome isn’t it? Be sure to leave a comment to be entered into the GIVEAWAY!

Neat & Tangled May Release Day 1 + GIVEAWAY!

Welcome everyone! It’s time for previews of the Neat & Tangled May release!

Today we are featuring Barnyard Buddies. This is a 4″ x 6″ stamp set filled with images and sentiments great for building a cute little barnyard scene.

My images are stamped in copic friendly ink and colored with copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut them out with my Gemini Jr die cutting machine.

For my background, I used a piece of pattern paper Really Rainbow Scallops trimmed to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added to a white card base. I die cut a piece of Green pattern paper from Spiffy Speckles using the Stitched Slopes die for my ground. Then added in my images. I also included some clouds from the To The Stars stamp set.

This fun sentiment is also a part of the Barnyard Buddies set. I stamped it onto a piece of Chili Pepper card stock with Embossing Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then cut out with the coordinating die and added to my card with foam tape.

Such a cute and fun set! Be sure to check out the Neat & Tangled Blog for more inspiration and leave a comment on the blogs to be entered into the giveaway.

Wooly Lucky – SSS March Kit

Welcome back everyone! I’m still playing with the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit. These are so jam packed with value for a very reasonable price!

My card today is featuring this fun llama stamp set Wooly Lucky that comes in the kit. What does a llama have to do with St. Patrick’s Day? Who cares lol… it’s cute! I stamped my image onto Neenah White card stock and colored with copic markers. I didn’t have a coordinating die so I fussy cut my image out.

I have this amazing light green card stock called Green Apple that came in the kit in which I’ll use for my card base. I trimmed a piece of white card stock down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and die cut a heart from the center using the Nested Heart dies. I layered the back of the white card stock with foam tape and attached to my card base.

In the kit comes a huge sticker sheet. I attached the rainbow and clouds stickers to some white card stock and trimmed them out so they have a nice white border. Then added them to the center of my heart with foam tape.

I attached my cute llama to the front of my card. My sentiment is from the Amazing stamp set which is also in the kit or you can purchase separately. I stamped it on Sunshine card stock with Clear Embossing ink and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Alabaster white. I trimmed the sentiment out with the Sentiment Labels die and added to the front of my card with more foam tape. Yes, I love foam tape.

Big Blooms Lily – Taylored Expressions

Welcome back everyone! Today I’m sharing a card created using supplies from Taylored Expressions. This Big Blooms Lily stamp set caught my eye and couldn’t wait to color it up!

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube Channel.

Taylored Expressions provides some beautiful red rubber stamps that are already foam mounted. If you are using a stamping tool like the Misti, you will need to remove the foam insert since the stamps already have the foam on them. This will give you a perfectly stamped image.

I stamped my image from the Big Blooms set in Oreo Ink from Taylored Expressions. This was my first time using Oreo ink and it’s such a wonderful true Black and copic friendly.

After coloring my image, I die cut it out with the coordinating die that you can purchase separately.

For my background I’m using the Striped Background . This is perfect staple to have in your craft stash. I honestly don’t have a stripe background stamp so I was thrilled to pick this one up! I stamped the background onto Sea Salt card stock using Sea Salt Ink. In the video it looks a little dark but when I took the picture the next day, you can see it faded back a little because I was using the same color ink on the same color card stock. I think either way it turned out great.

My sentiment is stamped onto Oreo card stock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with White embossing powder from Taylored Expressions. I have to admit, this is an amazing white embossing powder! So crisp!

I mounted my striped panel onto a piece of Sugar Cube card stock with craft foam. Then the flowers are added with foam tape for more dimension. I finish off by adhering the sentiment in the middle and a few jewels from the Valentine Mix around the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will take a look at the products from Taylored Expressions. They have some great quality products and excited to be sharing them with you!
