Halloween Yeti – Flippin Awesome!

Welcome everyone! I have a fun Halloween Interactive card to share today using the Flippin Awesome die from Lawn Fawn!

I have a video that you can view down below or (HERE) on my Youtube channel.

I think these interactive cards are really fun to tell a story. Mine is about this Yeti getting a pumpkin for Halloween and carving a fun face. These Yetis are not just for winter. They want to have fun all year round! They would also make great monsters on a Halloween card.

To create my scene, I used Happy Harvest, Pick of the Patch and Yeti or Not stamp sets. They are stamped in Jet Black ink onto white card stock with my Misti tool and colored with copic markers.

I created a spooky night time background by ink blending Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks with a Life Changing Blender Brush. I splattered on Liquid Stardust and gold paint from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for sparkly stars.

For my scenery, I used a Stitched Hillside Border die cut from Cilantro card stock and ink blended with Pine Needles. I also added the Spooky Fence that I die cut from Black Glitter card stock from the Autumn Collection.

Once my interactive card was put together, I decided to add a few more elements from the Spooktacular stamp set.

The sentiments are from the Spooky Village and Pick of the Patch stamp set which paired perfectly with my scene. I stamped them in Embossing Ink onto Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. I then used the Everyday Sentiments Banner die to cut out my sentiments and attach to my card front.

I hope you enjoyed todays’ inspiration!

Welcome everyone to the release of the collaboration set of Lawn Fawn for Simon Says Stamp! This stamp set was designed just for STAMPtember and if you love this set as much as I do, you’d better head over and grab it now! This is a limited time only stamp set meaning once it’s gone – it’s gone!

I seriously squealed when I opened my package with this stamp set inside. It is so stinkin cute!!

I have a video tutorial showing a closer look at the stamp set and how I created this card. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I stamped almost every image from the set onto White card stock with Jet Black ink. Then I colored with copic markers. After all the darling images were colored, I used the coordinating die to cut them out.

The paper pack Snow Day Remix has the perfect pattern for my cute little bunnies! I cut a piece to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and attached it to a white piece of card stock for my card base.

I’m using the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames die cut from Guava card stock to frame my scene. I added some sparkly snowy hills by die cutting Pixie Dust card stock using the Stitched Hillside die.

For my sentiment, I heat embossed it onto Rain Forest card stock with clear ink and white embossing powder. I am loving this color combo! What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! All of my supplies are listed below. Be sure to grab this set while you can! How can you resist these adorable little Santa bunnies?!

Spooky House Lawn Fawn

Welcome everyone! One of my favorite seasons is Fall mainly for the beautiful weather and trees but also because Halloween is in Fall! I love all the creepy spooky stuff! Today’s card is going to be creating a spooky Halloween background for the Build-A-House Halloween Add On from Lawn Fawn

I have a video you can check out down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

To create the background, I ink blended Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, and Fired Brick Distress Oxide using Life Changing Blender Brushes. I finished it off with Black Soot Distress Ink.

Add sparkle to your backgrounds with the NEW Liquid Stardust from Lawn Fawn. It’s magic in a bottle!

For the elements on my card I stamped images from Spooktacular and Say What Pets with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers.

Copic Colors Used

  • Cat – W6, W5, W4, W2
  • Headstones – N8, N5, N4, N2

Some other elements of my card include the Build-A-House, Build-A-House Halloween Add On, Grassy Border, Shadow Box Park On, and Everyday Sentiment Banner.

I gave my house and images some dimension by adding Gina K Designs Black Foam Squares. Black is great to use because they are disguised by the dark background.

Hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial. Are you excited for Fall or Halloween?

How To Make a Flippin Awesome (Waterfall) Card

Welcome everyone! The new Flippin’ Awesome die is flippin’ awesome! Way back in my early years of card making, I remember trying to make these and I think we called them waterfall cards. Using the new die from Lawn Fawn makes it so much easier and some super cool elements to add to it.

I have a card tutorial that you can down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. I explain the whole process and how easy it is!

I knew immediately I wanted to create a winter scene using the Yeti or Not stamp set. I stamped my images onto white card stock with Jet Black Ink. Then I used copic markers to color in my images. For the Yeti I used N5, N4, N2, Face: B97, B95, B91, Gloves: (could also just be hands) YG17, YG25, YG21, Horns: W4,W2, Scarves: R24, R22, R21, Tree: YG17, YG25, YG21, E23, E27, Ski Mask: N5, N4, N2, B0000, B01.

I ink blended Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch for my background and spritzed with water to create an illusion of snow. I lined the bottom of the background with Pixie Dust card stock die cut from the Stitched Hillside Die for a snowy hill.

After trimming my panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″, I added to a white card panel measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ and finished off by adding my panels to a card base created from Sugar Plum card stock.

I used the same colors to create the small panels for my flip book. I attached them to my flippin awesome card stock piece with double sided tape to ensure a secure hold.

I used the banner included on the Flippin Awesome die to create a sentiment. I die cut it from white card stock and stamped a sentiment from the Winter Wavy Sayings using Juice Box and Merman ink.

Be sure to visit my VIDEO for detailed instructions. These are so simple to create and lots of fun!

Ocean Scene Reveal Wheel

Welcome everyone! Recently my husband and daughter took a 7-day trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. I stayed back with our son but they sent me amazing, breath-taking pictures! One of them was a picture of beach and the gorgeous shades of blue in the water. I tried to recreate a card inspired by this image.

Breath-taking right? I’ve never been to the ocean but this is exactly what I hope to see some day.

For my card, I masked off the top half of a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock and ink blended Salty Ocean. After removing the mask and placing on top of my sky, I ink blended Chipped Sapphire.

I ink blended a few more strips of card stock using Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide and die cut them using the Stitched Simple Wavy Border. I also die cut these pieces with the Reveal Wheel die. This way I could layer the front of my card.

I added palm trees using the Tropical Background using Paper Bag and Cilantro card stock. I know there wasn’t palm trees in the original picture but the bottom of my card needed something. I also added some cute little kitties from the Keep On Swimming stamp/die set.

I have a little mountain in the background that I got from the Ahoy Matey Stamp set.

To create the reveal wheel I used the Reveal Wheel Die, Reveal Wheel Friends & Family Sentiments, & Reveal Wheel Essential Shapes Templates.

So what do you think? Did I come close? I love the different shades of water.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. This is a perfect time to create an interactive card and enter it in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #58 – Interactive.
