Smarty Pants – Kraftin Kimmie Challenge

Yep! You are in the right place – I’m doing a slight re-branding so instead of Paper Creations by Mindy at the top you will be seeing me as Mindy Eggen Design.
Today is a new challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. This time its using Pearl/enamel embellishments. Be sure to head over the Kraftim Kimmie Blog for more details and a chance at winning some goodies!
I created a back to school card for today using the newly re-released Smarty Pants set. This set is so stinkin cute!
I colored up my image with copic markers and cut the image out with my Scan n Cut machine.
For my background, I took my mini distress inks Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean and Fired and just dragged them across my cardstock. I like the swiping look and reminds me so much of school. Then I ran that piece of cardstock through my Big Shot die cutting machine using Blueprint 29 die to give it the stitched look.
The sentiment is also from the Smarty Pants stamp set and I inked with Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder onto black cardstock.
For the remainder of the card, I just added layers so my final size measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. My image is added using foam squares and finished it off with some Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal drops which fits right into the challenge!
