You Color My World – C.C. Designs

Welcome back to my blog everyone! Today I’m sharing a very colorful card featuring C.C. Designs Nerdy stamp set.

This set is just the cutest and is a great set for back to school cards for teachers and students. I decided to go with a fun, bright background. I’m using Canson watercolor paper and created a wash background using the new watercolors from Altenew. These are such vibrant colors!
Once my background was completely dry, I stamped my sentiment from the Nerdy stamp set. For my crayon since my background is so busy, I decided to color in as white crayon. I stamped onto Neenah white cardstock, colored with copics and die cut with the coordinating die. Then for dimension, attached to my card with foam squares.
I hope you’ll join me this week as I have so many amazing projects to share with you! Be sure to click my social media links at the top of my blog to subscribe to my Youtube Channel, Instagram and Email Sign Up so you don’t miss anything!

You Color My World! – C.C. Designs

Happy Monday! Today’s card is featuring this super fun Nerdy stamp set from C.C. Designs!

This is a perfect stamp set for kids going back to school. They need encouragement cards too and this card is sure to bring a smile to their face. I stamped my images onto Neenah White cardstock with copic friendly ink. Then colored with copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die.
I had also stamped the faces onto the crayons and on a piece of white cardstock. Then diecut the eyeballs and layered on top. That way I still have the cute smile on them. This reminds of the show Color Crew which my son loves!
For the background, I used a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and stenciled on the Jumbled Letters stencil (sorry discontinued) with Candied Apple, Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean. Where the colors meet I was able to blend into another color to almost complete the rainbow!
Once I removed my stencil, I went over the background lightly to fill in some color. I layered my card panel with white cardstock and added to an A2 size notecard made from Cherry Red cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in black ink and diecut with a banner die.
I hope you enjoyed today’s fun and colorful card!

Circus! from C.C. Designs

Welcome back everyone! I have a super fun card to share using the new Circus Stamp set from C.C. Designs.

I’ve got to be honest, I’ve kind of been in a mojo funk. Mostly because summer is almost over and this is about the time the kids are bored lol .. but I’m so glad I pulled enough mojo together for this card. I love how bright and festive it turned out to be.
I took a piece of Neenah Solar white cardstock and stenciled in some balloons with Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. Each time I went to stencil a balloon, I masked off the other areas of the stencil with a post it note. Next, I stamped my image from the Circus stamp set using copic friendly ink. I probably should have done that the other way around but I wasn’t really sure how everything was going to come together. Thankfully it all worked out in the end.
I colored in the image with copic markers trying to use all colors of the rainbow. Next, I drew in some balloon strings coming from the balloon to the clown’s hands. I also added some detail to the balloons with a white gel pen. I trimmed down my cardstock to a thin panel and attached it a piece of striped patterned paper.
The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder onto black cardstock. I love how it just pops right off the card! So bright and festive! This really helped me in my funk. I hope you enjoyed it too!

Dragons – C.C. Designs Preview

Welcome back everyone! It’s time for some previews with C.C. Designs!!

I couldn’t wait to use this new set Dragons! Right in my ball park as my friends know I love dragons!

This set comes with 4 images and 5 amazing sentiments which are so clever.
I start off my card by creating a background from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I’m going to ink blend a background using Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide which is one of the brand spanking new colors! Dreamy! I splatter with water, dab and have an amazing sky background.
Next, I die cut some clouds from the Fluffy Clouds Border die using Neenah White cardstock. I adhere this to my ink blended panel and die cut using a Stitched Rectangle die. This way my stitching is consistent all the way around my card. I layer this with Ivory cardstock and attach to a Fog cardstock base.
This fun dragon is stamped onto Neenah White cardstock with Almalgam Ink and colored with copic markers. Then I die cut using the coordinating die.
I couldn’t resist using this sentiment which I stamped onto Black cardstock with Simon Says Stamp clear ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
To add just a bit more interest and tie in my background, I added some Dragon Dreams Enamel Dots which is also part of this release.
