Ali Edwards – For the Love Story Kit

Hi Everyone! This post takes on a different project then you are used to seeing from me. I’m slowly getting back into scrapbooking except I’m dabbling with hybrid scrapbooking. As I stated in a post in the beginning of the month, I am WAY behind in my books. I discovered that I haven’t done an actual album in 10 years! That is a lot to catch up on and I don’t want to be working on baby pictures when my kids are graduating so ….. I’m doing a project life style of album. It has really helped me catch up.
So far, I have all my pictures printed and in photo sleeves in my album for 2017. I got a Selphy printer for Christmas which allows me to pick and choose which pictures I want and print them right then and there from the comfort of home. My problem was I would get pictures printed from an online place but then I’d have to organize them by date and honestly I dreaded it. Printing from home has really helped.
Anywho, I discovered the world of Ali Edwards. I’m addicted. She introduced me to hybrid scrapbooking. You can read about it on her website which I will link HERE. What I worked on today was a layout from 2017 where we took a trip to the new park downtown. I am signed up for her Story Kit subscription and that is what I used for this layout. I love these products! The journal cards are so nice and thick. The embellishments are amazing!
I apologize the pictures are not the best in the world. I’m not used to photographing layouts so it will take me some time to get a good feel for it and adjust my settings.
I hope this has inspired you! I’m really new to this world of pocket scrapbooking but I’m already on a good start of getting things accomplished.
Thanks !

12 Days of Khristmas with Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

I hope you’ve been following along with Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and the 12 Days of Khristmas! There have been some amazing deals going on each day! Today I’m showcasing the ever adorable Reindeer Games stamp set and did something completely different with it.
What’s really cool … the ENTIRE October release is 30% but for today only and while supplies last. If a stamp set is sold out, be sure to click on the Notify Me button so you can be one of the first to know when it’s back in stock.
I’ve been diving back into scrapbooking but I still love to color and create with all the fun craft supplies. So I’m combining both worlds. I used the Reindeer Games stamp set in one of album pages. I’m working on some pocket pages and these are the perfect size.
I colored up some of the reindeer on Neenah white cardstock with my copic markers. Then cut them out with my Scan n Cut. I was able to add them to some of my pocket cards. I still have pictures to add but I wanted to have the layout ready to go when I get to my PILES of pictures.
Most of these cards are from a pack I bought a few years ago that are double sided. The bottom card “Merry Christmas 2017” is actually a printable I got from CZDesign.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspired you to get the most out of your crafty supplies!

C.C. Designs December Release Preview

Hi Everyone! It’s that special time again – time for previews from C.C. Designs!! I have something a little different and out of the box to share today. I love coloring and I adore the stamps/dies from C.C. Designs. There are times I make cards and I don’t want to give the away because of the time and detail put into them haha… I want to be able to appreciate my own work.
So…. I decided to incorporate my love for stamping with ….. scrapbooking (which I’m way behind on)
Now for the most part I’m going to create just like I would a card except size it to what I need. In this card my card panel size is 3″ x 4″ . I started out with stamping and coloring my images from the new Wintertime set and then die cut them out with …. a matching die set!! Yes C.C. Designs has matching dies!!! and …… the stamp sets are CLEAR!!!
I used the NEW Winter Borders Die to create a hill with glitter cardstock and look at that cute tiny banner for my sentiment which I made using the NEW Make a Card Scene #17. Seriously, this release is fabulous and I’m over the moon excited about these new products.
I also add some icicles to the top of this insert using the NEW Winter Borders die and more glitter cardstock.
I know this is totally out of my element of what I usually post but I hope it gives you some ideas on how you can incorporate stamping into your scrapbooks. You’ll be seeing more of this from me but even if you don’t scrapbook, you can still use the base idea for a card.
Be sure to check out more previews on the C.C. Designs blog – you DO NOT want to miss what they have in store! Release goes LIVE on Saturday at 11am EST!!
