Coloring Cute Balloon Critters With Alcohol Markers | Simon Says Stamp

Hi friends! If you missed Monday night’s live, don’t worry—the replay is now available!

I spent the evening coloring the adorable Balloon Critters stamp set from Simon Says Stamp while we chatted about all things alcohol markers.

We talked about several different marker brands, the pros and cons of each, and how there’s really no single “best” marker—it’s all about finding what works for your style, budget, and crafting preferences.

To finish the card, I kept the design clean and simple by ink blending Seafoam ink using the A2 Mask Stencil. I love how this stencil creates a perfectly ink blended rectangle while leaving a crisp white border around the edges. It’s such an easy way to add color without taking away from the focal images.

We also took a look at three different styles of blending brushes (based on audience requests) , comparing how they’re made, how they feel in your hand, and what it’s like to blend with each one.

In the end, they all produced very similar results! It really comes down to personal preference and which style feels the most comfortable for you while you’re crafting.

You’ll find the complete supply list linked in the YouTube video description, and there’s also a visual supply list at the end of this blog post for easy reference.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope to see you at the next live!

Super cute and love the colorful background. I wish the die cut out more of the white space between balloon strings.
