It’s time for the latest Simon Says Stamp Shine On release, and today I’m sharing a fun card with a coastal vibe featuring the adorable Silly Seagulls! These little guys completely stole the show—they have so much personality and were so much fun to bring to life.

I started by die cutting the Beachcomber Seashells, Silly Seagulls, and Weathered Pilings from white cardstock.

Then I reached for the new Detail Shading Brushes to add color and dimension. I gave the seagulls soft shading (because even seagulls deserve a little contouring!), and added weathered wood tones to the pilings to make them look like they’ve been soaking up salty ocean air for years.

Once everything was colored, I arranged the seagulls standing on the pilings while stacking the seashells along the front of the scene. The shells looked great on their own, but I couldn’t resist adding a layer of Glossy Accents and a sprinkle of Rock Candy Glitter for a bit of sparkle. It’s amazing how those little finishing touches can make everything pop!

For the background, I kept things soft and beachy by ink blending with the new Large Shading Brushes using Seafoam, Butter, and Shell inks. The smooth blend creates the perfect sunny seaside backdrop without taking attention away from the die-cut images.
