This month’s release has a fun mix of holiday cheer and spooky vibes, and I couldn’t resist playing with the Hocus Pocus collection. I decided to step a little outside my usual spooky style and experiment with something different. ✨ What do you think of this color palette?
My first card features some of the brand-new products from the release:
For the sentiments, I switched things up and used the Glimmer Hot Foil System instead of traditional letterpress—and I love the result!
The coordinating dies cut out the sentiments beautifully, capturing every little detail.
For the background, I used the Scattered Stars stencil, ink blending Passion Flower onto Fairy Tale cardstock with a blending brush for a soft, magical glow. ✨
The witch’s hat was die cut from a gorgeous shimmer sheet in the Onyx Assorted Treasured Cardstock pack, giving it that perfect touch of spooky sparkle. To finish it off, I added a bow and ribbon in Bellini and Coral from the Spellbinders Colorwheel cardstock line—a fun pop of color against the dark hat.
The detail on the bow is amazing!
Sticking with a similar color palette, I created another card using many of the same products. This time, instead of the Witch’s Hat, I featured the Boo To You die set as the focal point.
The ghosts’ hats were also die cut from the Onyx Treasured Cardstock pack, adding that same subtle shimmer for a cohesive, magical touch.
For the background, I reached for the Scattered Stars stencil again—this time blending Peach Bellini ink from Gina K Designs onto Bellini cardstock. The soft tone-on-tone look was just what I had in mind for the subtle background I envisioned.
