Organization is a hobby all in it’s own as I think most crafters can agree and for me in a small space, I need to stay organized to stay efficient. I recently redid my ink swatches and wanted to share it with you all.
VIDEO
I have a video sharing my process that you can check out down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
Originally, I had all of these swatches in large coin protectors and kept them on a key ring but I found I did not like how flimsy it was. So I switched it up to binders! This is not a “new” discovery as I’ve seen lots of people use this but it’s “new” to me and I have to say so far I’m enjoying it.

One of the reasons I didn’t do binders before was because I have limited shelf space. Over the last few months (more like 6!) I’ve done some rearranging (surprise surprise) and MADE myself some shelf space.
I found these 6×8 binders and pocket pages that fit my swatches.
So first, I need to give credit where credit is due. These swatch pages are from Jennifer McGuire. You can find them HERE on her blog.
I saved it to my desktop and can edit it at anytime.

I do have a lot of inks as I work with many companies in the industry so it’s helpful to me to have my inks swatched out so I know what colors I want to use and also when listing them out on my blog and Youtube channel.
You’ll notice that the stamp I use for the actual swatch may differ and that’s just because I like to change it up. The one I’m using today in my video is the Summer Fruit Tiles and that’s only because I couldn’t find my original swatch stamp lol.
I’m going to link to the one I used in the video and the one I couldn’t find in my stash.

This album stays behind me on the shelf so I can easily access it.

I also feel like the scrapbooker in me enjoys the feel of a completed album, even if it’s filled with ink swatches instead of pictures.

Now another thing I was struggling with was ink pad organizers. I absolutely love the ones I have from Organize More but I was running out of space. Also, with the Altenew round ink pads, which is what I am swatching today, I wanted to keep them grouped together in their family.
During one of my little shopping trips, I discovered these trays. I’m always window shopping and seeing what I can come up with. These were meant for closets or maybe even a utensil organizer but if I turned them on their side, they made the perfect little shelf for my ink pads! Plus they are clear so when you look at my back wall it doesn’t look so cluttered. (hopefully)
I am linking one on Amazon that I think is pretty similar.

I stuck some velcro strips behind it so it did shift or shimmy and it’s safely secured to my wall without making holes. Then I just placed them on top of my Organize More organizers.
I can also put some fairly lightweight items on top .

This discovery made me so super happy!

Doesn’t it look so nice! ?

Well that is my little organization tips for you today. I know I love reading and seeing pictures of how people organize so I hope you found this inspiring!
In case you are new here, I craft from my kitchen. I tried moving to my bedroom but that didn’t really work out for me so I’m back into a corner in the kitchen so I am always trying to improve my space and making it work for me.
Hopefully when school starts back up I can film and updated craft room tour as I know it’s been a few years.
Thanks for stopping in!

Thanks, Mindy! I have put some of these items in my cart at Scrapbook.com using your links. I love what you have shown. You always have such great ideas. I wish I could get my craft room as visually pleasing as I see online, but this is the dilemma when one is not a pro and does not have the time or $ to commit to redoing a whole room. This is a great idea, though, for ink color swatching.
Thx again!

I envy your organizing skills. I, too have a small craft area in my daughter’s office. I do have crafts in my closet on shelves, in a 4 drawer cabinet in my bedroom.. So it’s not all in one area which has me up and down! I don’t see how I can ever be organized! Happy creating to you Mindy.
Love what you have done.
Can you provide information on the stamp that you used for the Lawn Fawn Dye, SSS, and Gina K Designs swatches, please?
Have you watched the video? I talk a lot about the products and my process
