Welcome friends! It’s release night with Gina K Designs and I have a couple videos to share with you!
My first video is a little walk through and unboxing of the release and the brand new Sweet Celebrations card kit. I also share a couple examples of projects I started to get your inspiration going.
Here is a look at the brand new kit.

In today’s video, I’m sharing a 3D embossing technique using the brand new kit from Gina K Designs, and I am completely obsessed with how it turned out. The texture it creates is just stunning, and the best part is that you can use any embossing folder you already own with a coordinating stencil to get a similar effect — so this is definitely a technique worth adding to your card making toolkit.

Even if watercolor isn’t something you reach for often, this technique makes it feel approachable and forgiving. The combination of loose watercolor and structured stencil details creates a beautiful balance that looks far more advanced than it actually is.

The soft watercolor wash adds just the right amount of movement behind the embossed details, making the texture stand out even more. Layering the stencil work over the embossing brings everything into focus and really helps the design feel polished and complete.

What I especially love about this technique is how versatile it is—you can swap in different embossing folders and stencil designs to create completely new looks each time. It’s a great way to stretch the supplies you already have while still achieving something that feels fresh and unique.
This technique was such a fun one to experiment with, and I truly love how the watercolor background softens the design while the stenciling brings everything to life. Even though watercoloring isn’t something I reach for often, this project reminded me how enjoyable it can be. I can definitely see myself coming back to this technique again and again.
