Honeycomb Shaker Card

Hello friends! I have a fun card to share with you creating a Honeycomb Shaker card! I shared a similar version of this during Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week so I’m recreating it and making a few tweeks.

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I start my background by ink blending on Sugar Cookie, Sunflower, No. 2 Pencil and Walnut Ink using a blending brush. Then I’m going to add the Honeycomb stencil using those same colors.

I’ll add interest to the background by splattering on white paint and a little bit Walnut ink that I mixed with water.

I created the well for my shaker by die cutting Paper Bag cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle Frames. I attached a piece of Acetate to the back of the frame and added foam strips.

I filled my shaker with a variety of sequins and attached my window.

For the front of the card, I die cut out the pop up bee using Black Licorice, Sunflower and White cardstock and also Vellum for the wings.

For the sentiment, I created the word STICKING by die cutting Sunflower cardstock using Cole’s ABC’s and layered together for dimension. I lightly ink blended the top layer of the letters with No. 2 Pencil and Walnut Ink.

After attaching it to the front of the card, I added Unicorn Stickles over the top.

The smaller sentiment comes from the Simply Summer Sentiments stamp set. I stamped it in Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder. Then trimmed down to fit around my die cut word.

Be sure to check out the video for the full details!
