Giant Hello Sunshine & Embroidery Hoop Star

Hello and welcome to Mini May 2023 Inspiration and Release week! On May 18 our 4 new stamp sets and coordinating dies along with 6 new standalone die sets, 2 new hot foil sets, and a new stencil will be for sale at your favorite store and at www.lawnfawn.com! Woohoo! Until then we will have fun posts with design team projects, intro videos, and giveaways!

Today is our showcase of Giant Hello Sunshine! Send someone lots of sunshine-y greetings to brighten their day! This giant sentiment fits a standard sized card for quick cards with lots of pizazz!

We are also shining the spotlight on Embroidery Hoop Star Add-On! This add-on works with the Embroidery Hoop to create a lovely embroidered star!

First let’s take a look at the Embroidery Hoop Star Add On. The stitching dies that Lawn Fawn has been releasing are so adorable and easy to use.

I stitched my star in a traditional Yellow color and added to the embroidery hoop cut from Paper Bag cardstock.

For the background, I added the Lots of Stars stencil in a rainbow of color including: Bubblegum, Fake Tan, Sunflower, and Peacock ink from Lawn Fawn.

Then I splattered the background with White and Black paint.

I popped up my hoop using foam squares and added a sentiment from the Sewn With Love stamp set.

Next is the Giant Hello Sunshine in which I inlaid a rainbow assortment of colors into the letters.

For the background, I ink blended on the Sunray Stencil using Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks.

I splattered the background with white paint and added some clouds from the All The Clouds stamp set.

Super simple way to brighten someone’s day!

Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration and enter in the giveaway.

  2. Hi, Mindy – As soon as I saw that SUNSHINE die, I knew I’d have to get it, whether right away or down the line. Your cards are beautiful, esp the SUNSHINE one. Love the rainbow color paper piecing.
