Here is a look at the card I created using the kit. This is just ONE of the ideas I have. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a video up in time for the hop but I will be doing one VERY soon! So stay tuned for that!
I used the gorgeous Snowflake Stencil for the edges of the card and it creates this beautiful focal point in the middle. I used the colors Paradise and Bermuda for the snowflakes along with a blending brush. I added splatters of white paint of course.
The owl is from the MMH kit in which I colored with copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut out and pop up in the center of the card.
The sweet sentiment is stamped in Pitch Black and also die cut out and popped up.
My next card featuring an additional item from the November release.
This is the beautiful Color Layering Holiday Flourishes paired with the Holiday Flourishes stamp set. I stamped the images from Holiday Flourishes stamp set in Pitch Black Ink and then ink blended the details with the stencil that matches.
You can use just the stencil, just the stamp and color with your choice of coloring medium or use together like I did.
The sentiment comes from the Coloring Layering Seasonal Tree.
I added dabs of Gold Hero Pearls to the center.
Before I go into the blog hop details I wanted to share an adventure with you.
I was able to take my 17 yr old daughter on our first mother/daughter trip to California where we stayed with Maria (she was on the Hero Team last year and a fabulous mixed media artist). We are close friends and she invited us to stay with her and took us on an amazing adventure in California.
One of those stops was Hero Arts! How fantastic is this?!
A little peek behind the scenes of the kit boxes.
Shelves and shelves of goodies!
And a group picture from the crew that was in house that day. These people are so darn amazing ! I love them all! It was so great to meet the people that I chat with online Aaron and Laura was great hosts! Thank you Hero Arts for allowing me to be a part of this family!
