Window Shaker Card

Welcome back everyone! Today I’m sharing a window shaker card I created using the Secret Window from Lawn Fawn.

VIDEO

I have a video you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I’m going to start by creating my window from white cardstock using the Secret Garden Window die. Then I’m going to color in the pieces that overhang the window using my Olo markers. I’m keeping the colors very light and etheral.

Next, I’m going to create the background for my window by ink blending Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I’m using dome foam blending tools to ink blend onto white cardstock keeping it very light-handed.

I’m going to splatter the background with a bleed-proof white ink and liquid stardust for added sparkle and interest.

On the backside of the window, I’m going to add double sided tape and attached a piece of acetate. Then I can add my foam tape to create a well for my shaker and add these beautiful iridescent stars.

I’ll then remove the backing of the foam tape and add to my blended panel to create the shaker.

I didn’t want to cover up the window so I’m going to keep the images very simple. I’m using this sweet mouse from the Dandy Day Flip Flop set. I colored the image with a mix of Olo and Copic Markers.

The sentiment comes from the Virtual Friends Add On stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Yeti pigment ink onto Black Licorice cardstock and heat embossed with White embossing powder. Then trimmed down to a thin strip with my paper trimmer.

I added the sentiment and image to the front of the card with my liquid glue.

The last thing I did was add a few highlights with a White gel pen and bits of Unicorn Stickles to the foliage around the frame.

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration! Thanks for stopping by!

The colors you used for coloring are beautiful. Love the spatters in the background – glad you’re not shy with the Liquid Stardust LOL! IDK what else I can say … it’s FANTASTIC.
