Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card that is featured in the Fall 2022 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine.
In this card, I’m creating an alcohol ink background and showing how I adhered this vellum piece to the background.

There is a video that you can view down below or HERE on the SCT Magazine Youtube channel.
For alcohol inks I’m using Terra Cotta, Cranberry, Patina, Moss and Gilded Alloy on Yupo paper.

One of the things I love about alcohol inks is no two backgrounds will ever look exactly the same which makes it so fun!
For my image, I used the Spring Bouquet stamp set from Gina K Designs. I stamped it in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder onto vellum. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and also die cut it a couple more times to layer it together.

After trimming my panels down and adding a white border, I attached the vellum piece with some bits of liquid glue. Where ever the glue is is where I added embellishments. It’s a great way to hide the glue!

Be sure to check out the video for the full tutorial.
Do you have a copy of the Fall 2022 issue yet? I love having a hard copy in my hard but you can also view it online.
Hi, Mindy – These are gorgeous backgrounds. You really ARE an overinker LOL… but I cannot argue the outstanding results. Lovely end product!
