Hello friends! Today I have a super easy die cutting hack to share that you can use on your cover plate dies. This will add a highlight area to your die cut piece.
This card is also a part of the Honey Bee Stamps Instagram Hop. Be sure to head on over to my Instagram to join in the hop, check out some amazing inspiration and leave your comments there to enter the giveaway.

I also have a video showing my process that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
For today’s card I’m using the new Secret Garden A2 Cover Plate die from Honey Bee Stamps.

The easiest thing you can do with cover plate dies is to off set them. I am using Matte Gold cardstock as the highlight piece and it adds just a beautiful touch.

My background is ink blended using Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Dried Marigold and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks. I had originally started with Tattered Rose but switch it to Worn Lipstick.
I added splatters with a paint brush and also some Perfect Pearls.

I wanted to keep the rest of the card fairly simple so I only added a sentiment. This is from the Thinking of You Big Time set which is stamped in Intense Black ink and cut out with the coordinating die.

I finished off the card with some Pearl Stickers which already have adhesive on the back.

Thanks for joining me today!
Be sure to head over to my Instagram for the hop and check out my video HERE.
Hi, Mindy – Your ink blending is LOVELY and this whole card turned out beautifully. I’ll check out the HBS release when I get time. Great card!
