Welcome everyone! I’m over on the MFT Stamps Youtube channel with a video today on using the Karin Brushmarker Pro markers to watercolor this adorable image.
You can view the video down below or HERE on their Youtube channel.
Now I’ve seen Kristina Werner do this many times. So many times that I think to myself, I can do that! Well… I tried lol

I used the Fabriano Artistico extra white paper to do my coloring. The image comes from the Hug It Out stamp set in which I stamped onto the paper with Versafine ink.
I scribbled my markers onto a slick surface, wet my brush and started to color in the images.
After all the critters were colored and dry, I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

For the background, I ink blended Shaded Lilac and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks. After die cutting out the Sending You Hugs sentiment from the ink blended panel, I added Moonstone Glimmer Paste over the top with the Love Is In The Air stencil.

What really sold me on which image to use for my card today, was how cut that owl looked right in between the letter U and G from the sentiment. He fits in just perfectly!
I hope you’ll give this technique a try if you haven’t yet. It’s nice to get out of the box a little and try something new. I’m used to using my copic markers and the smooth blend that I can achieve with them so it’s this is very new to me and something I am enjoying exploring.
