Cards Embossing Folders Taylored Expressions

Blender Brushes with Embossing Folders

Welcome back everyone! Yesterday I shared the new Blender Brushes from Taylored Expressions and some stenciled cards using them. I have a video you can check out HERE where I did an unboxing and created two cards using the brushes. Today, I’m sharing a card where I used the Blender Brushes with Embossing Folders.

NOTE: If the brushes are sold out, please head to the website and click the “Notify Me” button so you know immediately when they are restocked.

I will admit I haven’t used embossing folders in years. I don’t know why I waited so long to try them out again because how cool does this look? When I created this card, I was so impressed with the background.

I am using the Brick Embossing Folder from Taylored Expressions with Sea Salt card stock. I inked up one side of the embossing folder with Earl Grey ink, inserted my card stock and ran through my Spellbinders Platinum machine.

After removing my card stock, I lightly applied some more ink over the top of the raised areas with Earl Grey ink and the Blender Brush. I was super impressed with this technique.

I used it for a background on my card to go with my images I colored and die cut using the Cutting Edge stamp & die combo and Do Something Creative stamp/die combo. If you saw my cards yesterday, leaving white space on a card is kind of a shocker here but I really liked this look with the background.

The sentiment is stamped on Oreo card stock with embossing ink and embossed with White embossing powder.

Why have I waited so long to play with embossing folders?? I definitely need to pick up some more. Good thing Taylored Expressions has some!
