Welcome back! It’s time for the release with C.C. Designs! I have one more card to inspire you today and I’m using the new set Merkini! She is this beautiful mermaid which I couldn’t wait to color up !
I decided on creating a mostly one layer card. I stamped my image onto Neenah white cardstock with copic friendly ink. My entire card is colored in with copic markers including the background.
To create the bokeh effect, I first colored the background with BG32. Then I used some Simon Says Stamp white ink and added some of that white ink to my blending tool. When applying this ink to my card, I took the tool to my background, pushed down lightly and twisted in a circle. I did the same thing using a small dauber. This gives me those circles around my mermaid. I wiped away any excess and let dry.
Once my background was dry, I diecut it from a stitched frame diecut and added to an A2 size notecard.
There are so many fun summer scenes that she could be added to!
