New Tim Holtz Halloween Coordinating Dies Are Here!

Brand new exclusive coordinating dies for the Tim Holtz Halloween Collection are now available!

A display of Halloween-themed coordinating dies and cards featuring various designs, including skeletons, pumpkins, and spooky imagery, alongside festive decor elements like candles and mini pumpkins.

I am a huge fan of coordinating dies because they make it so easy to add dimension by popping up stamped images with foam adhesive. Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Scarecrow stamp set, and I absolutely love the loose, sketched look of these images.

I stamped most of the images in black ink before coloring them with my OLO markers. Once everything was colored, I used the new coordinating dies to cut out each image, making assembly quick and easy.

A whimsical Halloween-themed card featuring a scarecrow standing amidst corn stalks, with a full moon in the background and a crow perched on its hat. The text at the bottom reads 'Something wicked this way comes!'

For the background, I started with the smooth side of watercolor cardstock and gave it a light spritz of water. I then sprayed on a mix of Distress Spray Stains in Prize Ribbon, Ripe Persimmon, Old Paper, and Black Soot to create a spooky Halloween sky. After the panel was completely dry, I blended Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges to add even more depth.

A scarecrow with a bird perched on its head stands against a dark background featuring a large yellow moon and the text 'Something wicked this way comes'.

To give the background extra interest, I reached for the Anatomy Chart stamp set. Using a clear acrylic block, I randomly stamped one of the text images in white pigment ink, mixing first-, second-, and third-generation stamping to create subtle layers of texture without overwhelming the background.

A whimsical illustration of a scarecrow wearing a green coat and orange shirt, standing amidst plants with a crow perched on its hat. In the background, a large yellow moon glows against a dark, textured surface. The text reads 'Something wicked this way comes!'

To finish the card, I arranged all of my die-cut images to build the scene, then popped up the scarecrow and sentiment with thin foam squares for the perfect finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this card inspires you to add a little extra dimension to your Halloween stamping with these fantastic new coordinating dies.
