The other day I shared a video on creating a shaker card but there is another way to use shaker dies and that is with the negative pieces. ( You can watch that video → HERE ← )
For today’s card, I followed the exact same steps from my video to create the beehive design, but instead of using the outer frame, I layered all of the negative die cut pieces over a beehive base cut from light yellow cardstock. It’s such a great way to stretch your supplies and use up all those leftover die cut pieces instead of letting them go to waste.

For the background, I ink blended the Watercolor Oval Stencil onto white cardstock using a soft light blue ink. Once the ink blending was complete, I ran the panel through my die cut machine with the Checkered Pierced Plate to add subtle texture and detail.

To finish the card, I added the adorable little bees from the Bee Additions set along with a coordinating sentiment. Since I had coordinating dies for all of the images and sentiments, I was able to pop everything up with foam squares for extra dimension.

Not only am I getting more use out of all my die cut pieces, but I absolutely LOVE the finished look of this card!
