CARD DETAILS

For all of my cards today, I’m working on the Waffle Flower Water Media Mat. It has some wells on the side of it that I can add my reinkers to and makes it a great surface to work on.

I’ll be using Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Wilted Violet. I’ll also be adding in some Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust.

I start by adding a couple drops of each color into the wells. Then I’ll add a few drops of water to dilute it a little. Distress Inks are very vibrant in color and wanted to try and water it down just a tad.

My first background I came in quite strong as you can see. Very powerful rainbow!

My next cards, I used Picked Raspberry instead of Candied Apple and added a little bit more water to dilute the color a bit more.

I’m using Arches Cold Press watercolor paper which can really hold the ink and amount of water I’m using.

After a few backgrounds, I added the Liquid Pixie Dust to my ink in the wells. This will add some sparkle to the colors !

Once the backgrounds were dry, I spritzed some water on them to break up the color and add that water droplet look.

I die cut the Daisy Square from Neenah Solar white card stock 110 lb multiple times and will be using the negative and positive pieces for my cards.

I adhere the die cut with the Lawn Fawn Liquid Glue.

Most of the sentiments I’m using on the cards are from the Tiny Words Birthday stamp set. I had stamped them onto Black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used the Sentiment Labels die to cut them all out.

These next cards are probably my favorite. I die cut the frame from one of my water colored panels and did a little die cut inlay.

The black sentiment strip really pops off of these cards!

I finished off the cards by adding a few jewels from Pretty Pink Posh. I used Pearl White, Sea Glass and Sugar Plum Jewels to tie into the color scheme of the cards.

Also, for all of the panels, I trimmed down some craft foam and adde them to the front panel with double sided tape.

Then adde to a white A2 size card base.

Lots of inspiration and more details on them over on my Youtube channel.
