Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card that proves bold color and delicate designs can absolutely work together. I used a beautiful daisy layering stencil and paired it with vibrant ink blending to create a floral background full of depth and drama — without losing those crisp, detailed petals.

I have a full video tutorial walking you through the step-by-step process, so be sure to check that out for all the blending tips and techniques. You can watch that down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.
I list all of the supplies used in the video description over on YouTube, and you’ll also find a visual supply list linked at the end of this post for easy reference. Since everything is detailed there, I’ll briefly go over the main products I used to create this card

SUPPLIES
- Daisy Bouquet Stencil Pack
- Sending Trio Bundle
- Pebble Ink
- Clementine Ink
- Honeycomb Ink
- Wildberry Ink
- Plumberry Ink
- Artichoke Ink
- Lemongrass Ink

For this project, I focused on creating a bold, vibrant background while intentionally leaving the daisies white to really let them stand out. The contrast between the rich ink-blended color and the clean white florals adds instant impact and keeps the design feeling fresh and balanced.
By building layers of color around the flowers instead of directly on them, the delicate details remain crisp while the background brings energy and depth to the overall card. It’s a simple technique that creates a dramatic look without adding extra complexity.

I hope today’s project inspires you to try bold color in a new way and shows that delicate designs don’t always need soft palettes to shine. Creating a vibrant background while leaving the daisies white adds beautiful contrast and keeps the design feeling clean and modern.
Be sure to head over to my YouTube channel to watch the full video tutorial where I walk you through the entire process step by step. If you do give this technique a try, I’d love to hear about it — leave a comment on the video and let me know what color combinations you would use!
