Thermoweb & Gina K Designs Instagram Mix n Mingle Hop

Welcome back everyone! Today I’m featuring more cards using the new collection from Gina K Designs and Thermoweb Stamp n Stencil sets. We are actually doing an Instagram Hop and there will be prizes to give away so if you are interested please head over to my Instagram account HERE.

I have a video showing how I created these cards that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

My first card shown is featuring the Wishing You Joy stamp n stencil set. I stamped the flowers in Raging Red Electro Pop ink and the centers of the flowers using Red Velvet. I also stamped the leaves in Fresh Asparagus ink. Then used the coordinating die to cut them out.

Using the coordinating stencil, I added the centers to the flowers using Gold Glitz Glitter Gel. For the leaves, I used the stencil to add the berries. You can either use Red Glitz Glitter or like I did, use the White Glitz Glitter Gel.

I added the design to my background by ink blending the Foliage Stencil onto Jelly Bean Green card stock with Jelly Bean Green Ink. After I trimmed the panel down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ I lightly ink blended the edges. I then added this panel to a piece of white card stock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ and attached to an A2 size card base made from Jelly Bean Green card stock.

I layered the flowers around the bottom corner using Connect glue. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it in Gold Embossing Powder and fussy cut around it. Then added to my card front with black foam squares.

My next set of cards is featuring the Autumn Wishes stamp set. I stamped my leaves in various colors including Jelly Bean Green, Prickly Pear and Tomato Soup. Using a small dauber, I ink the edges Chocolate Truffle. Funny story, I actually took a picture of the wrong card so the ones pictured below don’t show the Chocolate Truffle edges but the video they do.

I used the coordinating die to cut out my leaves and then stamped the stems in the Chocolate Truffle ink. The coordinating stencil has the stems where you can add your choice of Glitz Glitter Gel but I wanted to show how you could also stamp the stems in with an acrylic block.

This next card is quite simple where I just lined the leaves up in a square on my card front making one of the spaces a place for a sentiment. I attached the panel to a card base created from Honey Mustard card stock.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!

Stamp N Stencil Mix & Mingle Blog Hop

Welcome everyone! Tons of fun going on today and lots to share so grab a coffee and enjoy! This is part of a fabulous blog hop which I will have your next stop listed at the end of the post. If you came here from the amazingly talented Mona Toth, you are in the right place! Otherwise you can start at the beginning over at the Thermoweb blog.

I have a video tutorial showing you how to use the new release from Thermoweb and Gina K Designs. You can view it down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Stamp n Stencil is so much fun as you may gather from my post today. I couldn’t just create one card. I created quite a few and they are so quick and easy! With the Stamp n Stencil designs, you can either stamp the layering image or stencil it in with inks or Glitz Glitter Gel.

I have tons of details about the cards over in my video so be sure to check it out HERE.

My first card is creating beautiful Fall cards with the trees from the Autumn Wishes stamp set. I stamped the trees in Honey Mustard and Chocolate Truffle ink and die cut using the coordinating die. I find it much easier to work with the stencils when the images are cut out.

For my leaves, I applied Pumpkin Spice and Gold Glitz Glitter Gel to create some gorgeous Fall colors!

The background was created by ink blending Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks using Life Changing Blender Brushes.

For my second card, I used the same colors for the tree trunks and leaves.

For the background this time, I stenciled on the Thick Brush Stencil onto Coral Reef card stock with Tomato Soup Ink. I trimmed the panel down to 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″, layered onto White card stock measuring 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ and added to an A2 size notecard made from Coral Reef card stock.

I love tiny sentiments and created this one by heat embossing it with Gold Embossing powder onto Chocolate Truffle card stock. The sentiment came from the Mini Hugs stamp set from Gina K Designs.

Seriously, how gorgeous are those leaves?!

My next card is really quick and simple. I stamped the Autumn Wishes sentiment across a piece of Jelly Bean Green card stock using a Comfort Block. Then trimmed the panel down to 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and added to a white panel cut to 3 3/4″ x 5 1/2″. My panels are added to an A2 size card base made from Jelly Bean Green card stock.

Also new this month from Gina K Designs and Thermoweb is the Wishing You Joy Stamp n Stencil set. This also has a coordinating die you can purchase, which I totally recommend. The dies make it so much easier to line up images and stencils.

While there are many images on this beautiful 6″ x 8″ stamp set, I’m working with the ornaments today. I stamped one out in Jelly Bean Green ink and one is Raging Red Electro Pop Ink. After die cutting out the images, I placed the die cuts back into the negative space, holding in place from the back with purple tape.

I lined up the stencil design and added Holiday Pine Glitz Glitter Gel to the green ornament and Gold Glitz Glitter Gel to the red ornament.

For the background, I used the snowflake design on the stencil. I blended it onto a piece of Powder Blue card stock that I later trimmed down to 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and added to a white panel measuring 3 3/4″ x 5″ .

I also used Powder Blue card stock for a card base. It such a gorgeous blue!

I have a ton more details in my video on how I created everything so be sure to head to my Youtube channel.

You’re next stop in the hop is going to be Chrissie Tobas.

Stamp-n-Stencil Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the Stamp-n-Stencil Blog Hop with Gina K Designs and Thermoweb. I’m so excited to share my cards with your today!

I have a video showing how I created these cards that you can view down below or HERE on my blog.

I am totally loving the Glitz Glitter Gel! For this first card shown, I stamped my butterfly in various colors including Innocent Pink, Sweet Mango, Lemon Drop, Key Lime, Sea Glass, and Lovely Lavender. Using the Petals & Wings stencil, I applied the Glitz Glitter Gel for a tone on tone affect. The gel colors used are Bubblegum, Sweet Mango, Gold, Grass Green, Turquoise Sea and Wild Lilac.

I have been asked if there is a smell to the Gel and there is a slight smell to it but it’s not a bad one. Even though these are packed with glitter, they go on so smooth and super easy to clean up. I use a baby wipe to clean up my spatula and stencil.

To create the card base, I start with a white A2 size piece of card stock. Next, using another piece of white card stock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″, I ink blend Sea Glass around the very edges with a Life Changing Blender Brush. My ink blended panel is attached with Gina K Designs Tape Runner.

I add my butterflies to the card front with white foam squares for dimension. The sentiment is from the All You Need Is Love set. I stamped it in Embossing ink onto Black Onyx card stock and emboss with White Embossing Powder. Then trim to a thin strip and add to the card front with Black foam squares.

My next card is featuring some more of the butterflies PLUS this adorable little ladybug! The ladybug is stamped in Red Hot and Black Onyx ink. Using the coordinating stencil, I added the spots on the ladybug with the Black Glitz Glitter Gel. Oh the sparkles!

For my background, I used these beautiful leaves on the stencil. I started by adding the leaves with Key Lime ink. Then while leaving the stencil in place, I add some Grass Green ink over various areas of the leaves. After removing the stencil, I lightly go over the area with Key Lime again.

The top half of the card is ink blended with Sea Glass ink which blends beautifully withe Key Lime. I’m using a sentiment from the Petals & Wings stamp set. I made one small oops while stamping. I stamped the sentiment in Black Onyx ink when I should have used Amalgam ink. Reason being is you can see the ink soaked into the card and spread out. I didn’t fix it but if you want a cleaner impression, use the Black Amalgam ink. It won’t bleed.

I finished off the card by adding the ink blended panel to a white A2 size notecard and my glitzed up cuties with foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. I had so much fun creating with the new Glitz Glitter Gel!

We also have a prize for today! Leave a comment on each stop to be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to Gina K Designs! Winner will be announced on Gina’s blog on March 29.

Glitz Glitter Gel Crazy Daisy

Welcome back everyone! I’ve been itching to play with the new Glitz Glitter Gel from Gina K Designs and Thermoweb. I got some play time and even have a video to share with you!

You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

For today’s card I’m using the Crazy Daisy Stamp, Stencil and coordinating die set. I stamped my flowers in Wild Dandelion, Bubblegum Pink, and Sea Glass ink from Gina K Designs. The leaves are stamped in Key Lime and Grass Green inks. I then used the coordinating die to cut them out by holding in place with Purple tape and my Gemini Jr machine.

Once all my images are cut out I DO NOT throw out the card stock that I die cut from. I actually place one of my flowers back into place and hold in place from the back with Purple Tape. Then I lined up my stencil and applied the Glitz Glitter Gel. I used White, Bubblegum Pink and Turquoise Sea Glitz Glitter Gel.

I found it easier this way because my image is already cut out and I don’t have to worry running it through my die cut machine and flattening the Gel.

To create the background, I used a circle stencil from the Mega Wreath Builder Template and held in place with Purple Tape. Then ink blended Key Lime, Sea Glass and Tranquil Teal ink with my Life Changing Blender Brush. I stamped my sentiment with the Gina K Designs Black Amalgam ink and attached my panel to an A2 notecard made from Whisper card stock.

I layered my arrangement onto my card starting with the leaves. The pink and yellow flowers are attached with foam squares for dimension.

I have to say I am having a blast with the Glitz Glitter Gels! Be sure to check out the video HERE to see it in action!

Preview Day 2- Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Welcome to Day TWO of our April Krafty Peeks
at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

You asked for it, so we’ve got it!
It’s an amazing new TEEN BOYS stamp set
by artist Emilie Goulet!

Introducing…..WHAT’S UP, DUDE?

This totally rad set features two main images plus FOUR super cool sentiments! They’re perfect for all the guys in your life!

I had this idea in my head for this stamp set and so excited with how it turned out!

First, I stamped this cool dude onto some Neenah white cardstock with copic safe ink and colored with copic markers. Then cut out with my Scan n Cut machine or you can fussy cut it out.

For the background, I created these amazing colorful splatters with foil. Thermoweb has these Designer Toner sheets in a few different designs but I was really drawn to the splatters. Using the parchment paper, I placed the clear designer toner into my parchment, then my rainbow foil and ran through my laminator. Make sure to put the parchment paper fold side in!

When it comes out, you can peel back the foil to reveal this awesome background! I also took a piece of white cardstock and stenciled in some bricks. Looking back, I should have gone a little darker. Then putting adhesive on the backside of the splatters, I attached my foiled sheet to the stenciled piece and adhered the whole panel to a black cardbase.

This sentiment is also from the What’s Up Dude stamp set in which I stamped in black ink and added to a ripped rectangle die cut piece of cardstock.

My dude is added to finished card with foam squares. How super cool is this?!
