My Go-To Technique With Embossing Folders

Welcome back to my blog! Today I’m sharing my Go-To technique when it comes to using an embossing folders and that is ink blending. But this way of ink blending will make your designs just POP off the card.

Any embossing folder will work but today I’m using the Garden Spires 3D Embossing folder from Simon Says Stamps.

The colors of ink I’m using to ink blend are:

Once embossed, this panel would love amazing all on its own but I want to add this beautiful soaring bird. It is a layering die that I die from white cardstock and lightly ink blended color to.

The colors I’m using for the bird are

My sentiment comes from the Etched Greetings bundle in which I stamped in Intense Black ink and trimmed out with the coordinating die.

The way the embossed design picks up the ink really makes it pop!

    I arrived late to the embossing folder party but I “get it” now. I think they make the best backgrounds with almost no work. Send them through the die cut machine once and TA-DA! a cool background.
