VIDEO: Blended Cover Plates

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card using one of my favorite cover plate dies from Honey Bee Stamps and that is the Secret Garden A2 Cover plate. I’ve done a few things with this cover plate since it came out and today I’m doing some blending.

I have a video that you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I’ll be using inks from The Stamp Market. They have a unique color palette that I wanted to experiment with.

I will start by ink blending a piece of 80 lb white cardstock using Raspberry, Bubblegum, Melon, Citrine, Leafy, Tropic and Orchid inks using blending brushes.

Then I’m going to die cut this panel with the Secret Garden A2 cover plate die.

Next, I’m ink blending another piece of 80 lb white cardstock with those same colors.

Each time, I’m blending, I’m coming in from the edge of the cardstock and fading off into white. This leaves the center free of color.

I’ll layer my die cut piece over the top, matching up the colors. Very fun look!

I foiled the Birthday sentiment in gold foil and cut out with the coordinating die.

I also stamped out the word wishes from the Birthday Wishes stamp set using Black ink.

I’ll finish off by embellishing with the Crystal Clear Mix gems.

This was super fun! Hope you enjoyed it!
