Happy New Year!

Do you create New Year cards? I usually don’t but I think this year warrants it lol. I’m also going to be using stencils and stencil paste from Lawn Fawn to create a festive scene.

VIDEO

I have a video that you can watch down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

Hard to tell in the pictures, but I’m starting off with a card front using Storm Cloud cardstock and ink blending the edges with River Rock, Soot and Black Licorice using a blending brush.

TIP: To highlight the center more, gently apply Yeti pigment ink.

I die cut the panel using the Sunburst Backdrop and taping the center in place from the back.

Next, I’m applying the Confetti Stencil using Gold Stencil paste.

For my part scene I’m using critters from Furry & Bright and Meow You Doin; balloons and top hats from Bicycle For You, party hates from Scootin By and Really High Five; and I also have another puppy from Joy To All but didn’t end up using it.

Copic Colors Used:

  • Puppies: E57, E55, E53, E51; E79, E77, E74
  • Cat: N9, N6, N4, N2
  • Balloons: N9, N6, N2; Y19, Y15, Y11; C4, C2, C0

I used the Cole’s ABC’s for my customized sentiment cut twice from 110 lb white cardstock and once from Pixie Dust cardstock.

I added a pop of color by trimming my blended panel down to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adding to a card front measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ made from Sunflower cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement through this year.
