Welcome everyone! We are counting down to the next My Monthly Hero Kit! This is going to be perfect for cardmaking and your holiday tags!
I have this adorable reindeer featured on my card. The die does cut out a spot to make it into a tag but I did a little surgery on mine. I die cut my pieces from Sand, Ivory and Peony cardstock. Then I used the etched lines to cut out certain areas and piece together.
For the head and ears, I lightly ink blended with Soft Brown and Cup O Joe ink to add a little dimension to it.
The scarf is cut from Cherry cardstock and I used the stamp set included in the kit to stamp a design.
For the background, I did a little stripping (ha!). I trimmed down Cherry, Papaya, Canary, Kiwi and Palm cardstock into 1/4″ strips and added to a piece of white cardstock. I then trimmed this panel down to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ . Before adhering to a card base, I’m going to stamp a sentiment in Intensified Black ink.
To finish off the card, I added the panel to an Ivory cardbase.
