Fawny Summer Week! Smily Smore

Today I’m sharing inspiration using these adorable Smiley Smores!

I die cut and assembled my s’mores using Kraft, Paper Bag, Chocolate Bar and Guava cardstock. The white of the s’mores, which is hard to see in the pictures was created with the Textured Dots white cardstock.

For the background, I die cut 80 lb white cardstock using the Sunburst Backdrop. Then I ink blended Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks. To get those highlight spots, I flicked on some clean water and dabbed up with a paper towel because distress oxide inks react with water.

I created a hill using the Forest Border die cut from Rainforest cardstock. Then ink blended with Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink.

I love creating custom sentiments and was able to do this with the S’more The Merrier stamp set and Cole’s Alphabet. To bring more of the s’more feel to the card, I lightly ink blended Vintage Photo distress oxide ink to the bottom of the letters and let it fade off into the white of the cardstock.

Making sure to prep my cardstock with an antistatic powder, I heat embossed a sentiment at the bottom of the card. This really makes it pop from the card!

Thanks for joining me today!
