Welcome everyone! We are on Day 2 of the countdown to the new My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts. I can’t wait for release day as I have a TON of inspiration to share with you! Release day is Monday, October 5 at 1pm Eastern.
To give you a little tease, here is one of the cards I created with the kit.
I started with Dove White card stock and heat embossed the snowflakes images with clear embossing powder. Then I lightly ink blended Soft Sky over the background. I also flicked on some White Glimmer Metallic for a little sparkle.
For the ornament, I heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I stamped the trees in Ombre Lime to Forever Green and the deer in Cup O’ Joe inks.
I die cut another ornament, this time without cutting out the window and ink blended Tide Pool and Aquatic ink. I created a snowy hill by die cutting an Oval from Dove White and then die cutting that piece with the ornament die.
I adhered my pieces together and then to my card from with a tape runner. To add a little dimension, I used foam squares on the deer.
The sentiment from the kit is heat embossed in White embossing powder on Pitch Black card stock which stands out nicely against my soft background.
