Simple Cards, Elevated With Tiny Touches: Friendly Blossoms Simon Says Stamp

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a simple card design created with ink blending and stencils, featuring bright, cheerful spring colors. This is one of my favorite ways to create an eye-catching background, and it’s a great technique when you want something bold without a lot of complicated steps.

To step up the design, I added a few subtle details that really make a difference in the finished look. I also turned this card into a Mother’s Day card, but this design could easily be customized for many different occasions just by changing the sentiment.

For this card, I focused on layering bright spring colors through stencils to build a soft but vibrant background. Ink blending is such an easy way to add depth, and even small touches—like subtle shading, splatter, or added dimension—can really elevate a simple design.

I hope this project inspires you to try adding a few subtle details to your own simple card designs. It’s amazing how tiny touches can make such a big impact!
