VIDEO: How To Use Stencils on Slimline Cards: Lawn Fawn

Welcome everyone! Have you jumped on the slimline cards bandwagon yet? I’ve made a few and I must admit I love them. They are really great for scenes and honestly just a really nice change up. Not only am I making a slimline card today but it has a cute little hidden element.

Today’s card has a video showing you step-b-step how I created it and supplies used. You can view the video down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

I ink blended Merman, Forget Me Not and Blue Jay ink from Lawn Fawn to create a night sky. For the stars I used the Starry Sky stencil and some Stickles Glitter Gel in Moon Dust. I found that the Stickles Glitter Gel has a little longer drying time then other mediums I’ve used in the past.

My mouse came out to view the stars! I used a variety of mice from A Bug Deal, Super Star, Crazy Antics, Just My Type and Dandy Day.

This fun tree trunk that one of the mice is standing on has a flap that flips open and reveals one more mouse that is staying behind to snack on the food.

Since my scene took up most of my card, I added a sentiment to the inside of my card.

Be sure to check out the VIDEO for the full details.

Wow, wow, wow! Wish I could give multiple “thumbs up”s (likes) to this! I love the background colors… I would not have thought of merman (greenish) but, man, did it work! I also really like those mice! Thanks for sharing this excellent tutorial!! I appreciate the info about the Stickles product, too!
