Welcome back everyone! Today I have a video over on the MFT Youtube channel showing how I created this ghostly card.

Now, I know Halloween is not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s totally mine! What’s fun about this card is even though it has a Halloween feel to it, it’s still a great way to say hello to a friend.
I created my spooky background by ink blending Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks onto white 80 lb cardstock using blending brushes.
I then added the Grassy Edge Stencil with Black Soot Distress Ink, creating a nice one layer background.
Before moving on, I made sure my background was dry by running it through my mini minc machine. This has been such a time saver! Once dry, I was able to heat emboss a sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set.
For a little more interest to the background, I am using a variety of Perfect Pearls including Zinnia, Iris and Perfect Pearls. I just added some to my glass mat, mixed with a couple drops of water and flicked onto the background with a paint brush.
I had stamped my ghosts in MFT Extreme Black Ink onto white card stock and colored with copic markers. The colors I used are G17, YG06, YG00, and YG0000. Then used the coordinating die to cut them out.
I added my ghosts to the card front with foam squares for dimension. Notice how my ghosts kind of take on the look of my background? Pretty cool right?! Be sure the check out the video over on the MFT Youtube channel!
