Spellbinders Large Die of the Month – July

Welcome back everyone! I have a couple fun projects to share using the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month July Kit 3D Fun Time Cruiser. The die creates a classic bicycle that you can either add to a card front or create a dimensional project that is great for putting on display.

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a view you can view down below or HERE on my Youtube channel. This video is set to music as unfortunately I do not always have the opportunity to do a voiceover but I wanted to share my inspiration with you.

CARD DETAILS

For my first card I started with just adding the die cut to a card front. I created a bike similar to one I used to have as a kid. For card stocks, I used Strawberry Milkshake, Fog, Poppy Seed, Cilantro, Sunflower, and Pixie Dust card stock.

I stenciled on some clouds to my background using Set the Scene Clouds stencil with a blending brush and Cookie Monster ink.

I thought this would make a cute birthday card so I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp in Obsidian Black ink. Unfortunately I think this stamp set is retired but any sentiment would work here.

The grass at the bottom is die cut from Cilantro card stock using the grass die from the Small Die of the Month July kit. It helped ground my image.

For my card base, I used Cookie Monster card stock to tie in the background.

My next project is creating the bike in 3D. For my bicycle I used Sunflower, Fog, Vanilla Malt and Black card stock.

In most cases I used liquid glue to attach everything. There is one part where I used double sided tape and that was to attach the basket.

If you want the box to be collapsable and put in an envelope, do not add a bottom to you basket which is what I did in my video.

There are also dies in this set to create a beautiful bouquet!
