Spellbinders Large Die of the Month – June

Welcome everyone! I have an amazing die collection to share with you today. It’s featuring the Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders called Festive Wreaths Slider Card.

These are tons of elements in this set to create a wreath for every season! The fun slider mechanism allows for you to pop up your card front for display and/or add an additional message in the inside. You get such a bang for your buck by subscribing to the Large Die of the Month Kit. You can read more about it HERE over at Spellbinders.

VIDEO DETAILS

I have a video walking you through the steps on how to create a card using the Large Die of the Month kit. You can view it down below or HERE on my Youtube channel.

While there are so many different seasons and holidays you can create with this set including birthday, Christmas, Easter and Fall, I was in a very summery mood and decided for butterflies.

I am using the Petals and Wings stamp/stencil set from Gina K Designs to decorate a part of my wreath.

The front of my card is stenciled with the Thick Brush Stencil onto Jelly Bean Green card stock using Jelly Bean Green ink from Gina K Designs. I die cut the front panel with the sliding window using my Spellbinders Platinum Machine.

There is a half circle die in the kit that I die cut twice from Gold Glitter card stock to form my circle using liquid glue. I attached this to a circle I die cut from white card stock using the Spellbinders Circle Nestibilities die. Since the white circle die cut was bigger then the gold glitter circle, i trimmed my white card stock down to the Gold Glitter card stock so there was no white edge.

I die cut some leaves which is from the kit, using Fresh Asparagus and Jelly Bean Green card stock and arranged on my circle. The sentiment is from the Petals & Wings stamp set and stamped in Obsidian Ink.

My butterfly is stamped in Turquoise Sea ink and then I added some sparkle with the Turquoise Sea Glitz Glitter Gel and Petals & Wings stencil.

After scoring my front panel, and adding to a Fresh Asparagus card base, I can attach the bottom portion of my sentiment circle to the card panel. Be sure to check out the video for the exact how-to. It is much easier to see in person.

I added my butterfly last as I was waiting for it to dry completely. For a little dimension to the front, I added the butterfly with foam squares.

My next card, is very similar except this time I’m using the Quilted Hearts Background in Cherry Red ink for my front panel.

The Petals & Wings stamp set has this adorable ladybug that I stamped in Cherry Red ink and added Black Glitz Glitter Gel to the my critter.

These slider cards so are much fun and easy to create. You could also a sentiment to the bottom for when the window pops up, but I opted to keep this plain. I love that you can pop this up to display.
