Welcome back everyone! I needed a birthday card for my brother before I head out to visit the family for Thanksgiving. This also fit right along with The Birthday Project challenge over at My Favorite Things.
CARD DETAILS
My images are stamped from the Ready Set Snow stamp set onto Neenah white cardstock with MFT Extreme Black ink. Then colored with copic markers and cut out with the coordinating die.
I ink blended a background hoping to resemble the Northern Lights. I used Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. Then splattered with white paint for a snowy effect. Once that was done, I sprayed the background with Iridescent Glitter Dust for lots of sparkle!
I die cut some slopes using the Stitched Hillside and Downhill Slope die. I added just a smidge of Tumbled Glass to the tops of the hills for some definition.
To finish off the card, I added the sentiment by stamping onto Blue Jay cardstock and white heat embossing. I die cut this using the Slanted Sentiments die and added to my card with a double layer of foam tape.
Mark this in the books that I made a birthday card! I need to make more. I hope you enjoyed today’s card. If you are celebrating Thanksgiving, have a Happy Thanksgiving and if you are not celebrating this holiday, I hope you have an amazing weekend!
Save these images to Pinterst for future reference.
