Welcome back and Happy Friday! Today I’m showcasing a card I made using the new Rustic Autumn from the September 2018 release from Gina K Designs.
I fell in love with this barn the second I saw it! I grew up out in the country on a farm and this brought back so many memories. I don’t normally leave a lot of white space on my cards but this image deserved all the attention!
I stamped my images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with the Gina K Designs Amalgam ink. I masked off the barn so I stamp by trees behind it. Then colored with copic markers. I used the dot techniques on the trees to add leaves. For this technique I started out by just adding dots with the tip of my marker using the lightest ink of my combo which was the YG25. Then I brought in my midtone YG17 adding more dots but not completely covering my lightest. I tried to keep the darkest color G28 towards the middle and just adding more dots where needed.
The rustic detail on this barn is just heavenly!
