Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 30 – Upon A Star

Welcome and Happy Friday!! This card is for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #30 which is cards for guys. I really struggle with this as I’m sure many do. I decided to pull out a stamp set I’ve been itching to play with! It’s called Upon A Star.
This stamp besides being adorable was perfect for my family. To start off, I stamp my images onto Neenah white cardstock 80lb with copic friendly ink. Then diecut with the coordinating die. I’m going to set those off on the side for now to create my background.
I’m going to start off by cutting a circle out of one side of my Blue Jay cardstock with the Stitched Circle Frame die. On a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock I’m going to apply Anique Linen Distress Oxide ink in about the same place as my circle cutout. Then using a small dauber, I’ll apply small spots of Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and speckle with water.
The rest is mainly layering up the card. I diecut some trees from the Hillside Backdrop die and a hill from the Stitched Hillside die. I layered my card with Noble Fir, Paper Bag and then my top panel which is the Blue Jay.
Since I wanted this to be a Father’s Day and I didn’t have any Father’s Day stamps, I used this sentiment from the Winter Village stamp set. I thought it worked perfectly!
