C.C. Designs Cards Color Combo Board Distress Oxide Inks Stencils

Preview Day 1 Hello Goodbye- C.C. Designs

Happy Monday!! Today is pretty exciting as it’s the start of previews for the C.C. Designs June release!! Yippeee!!! There is some cute stuff so be sure to head over to the C.C. Designs blog after you are done here so you can see all the inspiration and giveaways!!
My card today is featuring this awesome alligator! (see what I did there?) hee hee This alligator is from the new Hello Goodbye Clear Stamp set. These characters are crazy cool ( I did it again!) and the sentiments … forget about it ! So adorable !
I’m going to start by prepping my background. I’m using a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock because it’s awesome for ink blending. I’m going to lightly lay down a layer of Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. Then I’ll add the Dimensional Triangle Stencil on top and add in some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. Spritz with water, dab and viola! Fabulous background ready to go!
The amazing alligator is stamped onto Neenah white cardstock with copic safe ink. Neenah is my personal preference of cardstock but you can use whatever heart desires that works with copic markers. Then I’ll color in my image and die cut out with the coordinating die set.
Did you check out that fun sentiment!? Yep – that is off the Hello Goodbye stamp set too. I stamped it onto Noble Fir cardstock with Simon Says Stamp clear ink. This is a sticky ink that is great for heat embossing which is exactly what I”m going to do. I’ll emboss it with white embossing powder which really pops off the dark green cardstock. I also use the Noble Fir cardstock as my base which is an A2 size card. I thought it really pulled the greens together.
I’ll go ahead and diecut the sentiment with the Banners die and finish attaching my elements together to create this fun card.
**TIP** You could also cut this sentiment stamp apart to have the front read “See You Later Alligator” and the inside say “After While Crocodile”. How fun would that be?! OR ….. you could mask the sentiment too to separate it.
This is just day 1 of previews from C.C. Designs so be sure to visit the BLOG to check out what else is in store. Release goes LIVE on June 7th at 12pm Central time.

What do you think of my new color boards I’ve been creating? Do you like them? Find them handy? I’ve broken down the colors for the main elements of my image.
