Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Monday! I have another color along video for you today using one of the brand new released stamp sets from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Today I’m going to be using the rhino from the set Wild World. I love these critters!
I decided to color my rhino is some non-traditional colors onto some Kraft Cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I honestly have never colored on Kraft cardstock before but I love the look! What’s interesting is this is the same color combo I used on my baby tag from Preview day #3 of the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps new release. Just the switch in cardstock gives it a whole different look!
I start out stamping my image onto the Kraft Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Then I color it with my copic markers. I start out the coloring by going over where I think the shadows will be and blending that out working from darkest to lightest. I add some highlights, I used a white polychromos pencil over the lightest areas of my image.
To keep this a one layer card, I created a mask for the top portion of my rhino. I added the mask to my image and then cut a heart from some white cardstock using a Stitched Heart die. I held my heart template in place with some post it note tape and added some Adbandoned Coral distress oxide ink to the heart.
After removing the template, I stamped a sentiment from this same stamp set using Versafine ink.
